Content
You may be offered the opportunity to focus on a holistic discipline, like the Meditation or Therapeutic teacher trainings, which can include Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra and Energy work.
Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga are the 3 most common yoga styles - however there are teaching practice opportunities in all of the yoga styles - there is the slower Restorative and/or Yin Yoga; and the hot systems of Bikram and Power Yoga; and different mixes of all these styles.
For precision and alignment there is Iyengar Yoga. Aerial Yoga too, a combination of Pilates, yoga and dance. Take your time to find the learning opportunity that is waiting for you. When you find it you will know.
There are so many different options these days.
Search out the one that speaks to your heart with a teaching philosophy you are attracted to.
Research their graduate reviews, their lead trainers, teaching philosophy, style and approach, this will help you understand if it's the right yoga school for your continuing education.
There are many places you can attend, near me or far away.
Often it is true that the school and teaching practice and class content you are interested in may not be near you.
But that's yoga, putting us exactly where we are meant to be.
Here are yogi's top destination choices for this first level of yoga education experience.
For those based in Europe there are no end of great options to choose from like the retreat centers
dotted across sun-soaked Spain.
In the States domestic travel can be easier and so staying in the United States can be more
convenient.
Alternative great travel ideas are to be found in South America for some really
interesting opportunities.
Nearby is also the mecca of Costa Rica
If you are happy to fly further away then Asia is full of great spots to attend.
Bali, with its connection to spirit offers something special. The island is varied & beautiful with stunning
beaches, paddy fields, mountains and volcanoes.
India can be a great place to start your journey, with many great yoga schools and spiritual places to
complete your certification. With so many options Rishikesh offers a great variety in the content, focus
and activities, being the yoga-hub mecca of Mother India.
Then there is Thailand, a great choice are the islands in the south where schools on the beaches offer
