10 Day 100hr Plant Medicine & Yoga Teacher Training

This deeply nourishing 10 day, all-inclusive retreat and 100 hour advanced training draws upon a synergistic blend of the shamanic customs of the Americas and the ancient art and science of Yoga.

These practices profoundly connect us with ourselves in raw and experiential ways, bringing to the surface our sub conscious, habitual thought patterns and behaviours that often can dominate our day to day lives.

Working in ceremony with the master plant teachers of the Amazon will help inform how to live our yoga rather than simply “do” it, while our yoga practice serves to deepen and keep us centered during our journeying with the Plant Teachers for us to discover glimpses of our our place within it all.

Location

Sacred Valley, Peru

Cusco or Cuzco is located in the Southern Sierras and is a remarkable city that was the capital of the Inca Empire. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Sita and is one of Peru’s most visited cities. With a well preserved colonial architecture and an evidence of a rich and complex history, Cusco easily becomes a beautiful and fascinating city. It represents the center of indigenous Quechua culture in the Andes and by merely walking the streets one sees the layers of history. The interesting blend of Spanish colonial buildings atop Incan walls and modern tourist nightlife that flourishes in their midst is something to experience here in Peru.

Cusco city is dotted with a number of ruins, the most notable is the Sacsayhuaman. It is the site of the 1536 battle in which dozens of Pizarro's men charged uphill to battle the forces of the Inca. Today, Cusco city is known for its indigenous population and its substantial tourist-fueled nightlife. If you want to explore Cusco, you may want to visit the San Pedro market a colorful, vibrant, packed local market where you will find a lot of souvenir shops, local eateries, and juices stands. You can also walk around Plaza de Armas. The square has churches, shops, restaurants, and bars. You can also take an exciting salsa class in Peru. A fabulous salsa school offers private and group classes at minimal price in two central locations.

There are daily internal flights to and from Lima, Arequipa and small jungle airstrips in the Amazon basin. The following airlines offer flights to/from Cusco include Peruvian Airlines, LC Peru, and Latam among others. The closest major international airport is Lima.
