It is a short bus ride away from Galle fort (12ks) and an even shorter walk from a Buddhist temple that welcomes anyone to join in or to simply just watch their customs. It stands immediately north of the Gin River.

Galle is a jewel. A Unesco World Heritage Site, this historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums.
