11 Day 100Hr Beginners Yoga Teacher Training Course

Rather than complete the straight 200-hour course in the traditional four weeks, this school offers you the opportunity to complete the regular course in two sections. The sections must be completed within a year of commencement.

Practice correct alignment and adjustment with your yoga masters and take the first step on your yoga teaching journey. The course has an extensive curriculum on Teaching Methodology, Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle Ethics, Asana poses, Pranayama breathing, Anatomy and Physiology, as well as expertise on various adjustments, modifications and variations which will help you to confidently teach yoga anywhere in the world. 

This teacher training package includes study materials, course manual, three yogi vegetarian meals per day (except Saturdays and Sundays) and accommodation.

Morjim beach is a delight for nature lovers too. Apart from the Olive Ridley turtles, a variety of of flora and fauna can be spotted here. For those interested, dolphin sighting trips are offered by locals. You can even take a walk up the famous Chapora Fort for great views of the sandy beach and the green palms.


Morjim is around 50km from the Goa International Airport in Dabolim,  where you can take a taxi for a straight journey to the venue. The nearest railway station is the Pernem Station, which is less than 20km away. There are frequent buses from the capital city of Panaji and the city of Mapusa to Morjim.

Food

Enjoy your sumptuous and healthy morning breakfast which consists of porridge or muesli with yogurt. For lunch, you will be served with soup and bread, and salad with eggs. For dinner, enjoy a serving of Indian Thali with rice, lentils and some cooked vegetables. You also have the option to eat Khichdi, which is a yogic, Ayurvedic and Sattvic food made from rice, vegetables and lentils. All dishes are freshly prepared to sustain and nourish you as you train everyday.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

This practice includes learning about Asana, Pranayama, Kriya, Chanting, Mantra, Meditation and other traditional yoga techniques.

In 10 hours, you will be taught the principles of demonstration, assisting and correcting, observation, instruction, different teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, as well as business aspects of teaching yoga.

The teachers will teach you about the Human physical anatomy and physiology, energy anatomy and physiology and the theoretical knowledge of both systems and their practical application within yoga.

In this subject, you will learn about the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.

Your practicum will consist of practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching, hearing and giving feedback as well as assisting in other students classes.

In this subject, you will learn teaching techniques that are based on literature of teaching methodology, studying and writing your own reflections and understandings of these, watching videos of yoga masters, designing your own class, group discussions and examinations on knowledge of content.

Certification

This is 100 hours of a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification. A 200-hour certificate will be awarded to the student once both parts of the 100-hour training is completed. Students are welcome though to complete the 100 hours for their own knowledge and practice if they do not require a certification looking to teach.

The relaxed atmosphere, the pleasant weather, bright green tropical cover, the calm Arabian Sea, pretty beaches and the year-long moderate temperatures makes it the perfect place to practice sadhana and work towards attaining the ultimate moksha or sadhana.


Goa is connected to the most part of the world via direct flights. The airport is located at Dabolim and there are 3 major railway stations with trains plying to and from every corner of India.

The Morjim beach is about 70-80 km from the airport and 36 kms from the nearest major Railway Station, Pernem. It is quite conveniently connected via taxis and bus routes from most part of Goa as well. About a 10-minutes’ walk from Raj Supermarket Bus stand in Morjim, you can easily get a bus from Mapusa and Panjim Bus Stand.
