Queensland’s buzzing riverside capital city of Brisbane is wedged between the ocean and rugged national parks. Brisbane is a cosmopolitan hub for arts, culture and dining but still retains a close connection with nature and a classic laid-back Queensland attitude. It’s also the gateway to the wonders of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. As the capital of the Sunshine State it is blessed with idyllic subtropical weather all year round. With award-winning food and wine, a jam-packed events calendar, adventurous activities, scenic weekend getaways and plenty to explore all over the city, there's always something to do.

Brisbane is a city for the senses; walking under impossibly blue skies around this foot-friendly city find opportunities to eat, drink, shop, play and stay. A beach in the inner-city, parks and a river made for exploring, an interactive museum and science centre, major cultural attractions, world-class arts and entertainment facilities and impressive natural wonders combine to make Brisbane an exciting destination. There are endless places to enjoy excellent food, wine, coffee and alfresco dining. Luxury hotels, Air BnB’s and boutique guest houses cater to those on a family-friendly holiday, a city escape, a honeymoon or anything in between.

Brisbane Airport is less than 15km from the CBD and there are two terminals, Domestic and International, with 30 airlines flying to and from about 80 destinations. The Airtrain rail service links both the Domestic and International terminals with the Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast, with trains running every 15 to 30 minutes. Drive time between the airport and the city is about half an hour and you can take a taxi or a ride-share service (such as Uber). Or hop on one of the many shuttle buses that will take you to the city or right to your accommodation.
