5 Day 50hr Chinese Meridians & Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Join Annie Au for a unique and in-depth journey in Yin Yoga and Chinese Meridians to cultivate balance in the body, mind and spirit. In this 50hr Yin Yoga and Meridians Teacher Training, you’ll learn in detail the twelve regular meridians, an introduction to the eight extraordinary meridians, essential acupressure points, and the methodology of Yin practice in the meridian system. Also, drawing on the wisdom of Yoga and Buddhist philosophies, you will dive into the ancient teachings to bring harmony into our daily lives.

The world is going at a rapid speed and more people than ever can benefit from the tranquility that Yin yoga has to offer. For those who are already teaching yoga, being able to teach Yin yoga in addition to your existing classes can help better the lives of your students even more so. Also, more studios now are seeking teachers who can also teach Yin yoga as they see a tremendous demand from their clients. 

Yin yoga is for all walks of life. Even if you don’t intend to become a teacher, the tools and knowledge that you’ll gain from this training will help bring peace and harmony in your body and mind. As we gain vitality, we also create better relationships with our significant others and people in our world. This course is vital if you’re looking for a positive shift in your current life.

The curriculum of this YTT meets the requirements set by Yoga Alliance including training, teaching methodology, anatomy, philosophy, and practicum. The cost includes your course manual and the full 5 days of training. Yoga props like blocks, straps and blankets are also available for you during the training.

Requirements

A receptive and open-mind are required for this transformational training. Minimum six months to a year of yoga and related practice (such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, meditation) are recommended. This training will provide you the wisdom of eastern philosophies in Yoga and Buddhism. You will have the opportunity to expand your current beliefs and cultivate a happy and balanced life.

HOURS + TOPICS

Daily Yin yoga classes, Qi Gong practices, guided meditation & pranayama, foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, The Five Elements, The Three Treasures, 12 Regular Chinese Meridians, associated emotions & healing sounds, up to 25 most important acupressure points for emotional balancing, physical distresses, flexibility, and strength, Chinese Meridians Clock, Yin Yoga practice theory & application, Yoga anatomy on myofascia and skeletal differences, Myofascia meridians, Sequencing & theming, Ethics of yoga teaching, meaningful business of yoga, Anapanasati & Vipassana meditation, AcuYin sequence: A unique Yin sequence infused wth acupressure points, Inner wisdom teaching, chanting & intention, group discussion & journaling.

Certification

This 50hr immersion qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continue Education Credits (CEU). CEU is required for 200hr yoga teachers to maintain their status. Upon successful completion of the immersion, you'll receive a certificate authorized by Annie Au with accreditation by Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance is the largest nonprofit organisation upholding the standards in the yoga industry worldwide.

TIME OFF The training runs for 5 consecutive days from around 8am-5pm. The course is non residential and your evenings are yours to fill as you please. Brisbane is a beautiful, safe and friendly city with plenty to do and see. There are many great cafes, galleries, parks and shops if you feel like exploring.

The bottom level of this gorgeous Queenslander character home has been fitted out with a light filled and comfortable home studio, this is a relaxed environment and welcome to all during class times. Classes are small and personalised and this is the perfect place for beginners and anyone wanting to deepen their practice.

Yoga Alma specialise in helping beginners get started on the deeply therapeutic journey of practicing Yoga & mindfulness on and off the mat. All you need to do is bring a smile! All yoga mats and props for comfort are included free of charge. All Yoga & Pilates classes are suitable to beginners and all levels. Yin Yoga is a big focus here at Yoga Alma so come and see what everyone is raving about!

Non Residential

Food

Meals are not included in the course but there are plenty of eating options near by in the suburb of Balmoral- everything from smoothie bars to cafes to supermarkets if you wish to self cater. Brisbane is a great city for eating and dining and there are lots of healthy, vegetarian and gluten free options just about everywhere. You are welcome to bring your own meals with you, or head out and explore during your break. Breakfast and dinner will generally fall outside of the training hours and allow you the flexibility to eat out or cook for yourself!

Brisbane Airport is less than 15km from the CBD and there are two terminals, Domestic and International, with 30 airlines flying to and from about 80 destinations. The Airtrain rail service links both the Domestic and International terminals with the Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast, with trains running every 15 to 30 minutes. Drive time between the airport and the city is about half an hour and you can take a taxi or a ride-share service (such as Uber). Or hop on one of the many shuttle buses that will take you to the city or right to your accommodation.
