HOURS + TOPICS

This goes course goes in depth with the core principles of hatha yoga practice. From the traditional poses to more modern takes, you will become an expert of asana in all aspects. This helps you better teach these to your future students.

This course will discuss concepts and practices of Pranayama including different breathing exercises with indications and contraindications. Every detail will be explored, such as technique, teaching, method, application, contraindication and benefits.

Yogic Mudras are a combination of subtle physical movements which alter mood, attitude and perception and which deepen awareness and concentration.

A mudra may involve the whole body in a combination of asana, pranayama, bandha and visualization techniques, or it may be a simple hand position. The aim is to create fixed, repetitive postures and gestures which can snap the practitioner out of instinctive habit pattern and establish a more refined consciousness.

Bandha is defined as binding, tie, hold back, restrain or lock. The basic premise of the bandha is that by restraining or locking the muscles on a physical level, a subtle unlocking occurs on a mental or spiritual level. Bandha regulate the flow of energy and assists the practitioner in asana.

This course covers the proper means to helping your students better perform the postures in yoga. This is a very delicate topic as improper alignment can lead to injury and discomfort.

The six yogic cleansing techniques for purifying the tissues and organ systems while bringing a harmony in their functioning in the most simple and natural manner. Shatkarmas are covered twice a week integrated with the daily practice of Asanas and Pranayama.

The course goes further with yoga and how to utilise its healing properties to treat common discomforts like headaches, migranes and colds. They can also be used to treat serious issues like slipped disk and diabetes.

This course focuses on the physiology of the yoga practitioner, so that you may better understand the reasons behind each pose, exercise and lifestyle. This covers all relevant parts of the human body, such as the respiratory, muscular and skeletal systems.

This course goes to length about the subjective matter of yoga. It's origins, history and principle are but a few examples of the topics that will discussed.

Vinyasa Yogashala teach a range of insightful and traditional forms of meditation that students can practice in their own lives as well as go forwards to teach in their own classes.

Rishikesh, India

Tapovan area is full of meadows, streams and flowering plants and the meadows are considered as one of the best high altitude meadows in India. The exquisite setting on the fast-flowing Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive for meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, an almost supernatural breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus, pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly ganga aarti - a fire offering or ritual performed on the Ganges.

Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi (DEL) is the international airport that is closest to the schools in Rishikesh and Dharamsala. From there, you have several options to get to Rishikesh. It is recommend to either take an additional flight from New Delhi to Dehra Dun (DED) or arrange for a taxi or bus for the final part of your journey.
