The 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is the first section of the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. This short course is designed for those who want to learn yoga for their own personal development. For those who do decide they would like to become certified teachers, the second half of the course can also be completed to make up the full 200 hours. 

After completing the first 100 hours you are free to complete the remaining 100 hours within the same year in any month when you return. The certificate will be awarded to the student once all of the required hours, assignments and examinations are successfully completed.

The course offers detailed teachings on asana, meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy and physiology. The course helps students find good health, gain strong moral values and attain higher states of consciousness.

Course includes deep practice of asanas (Postures), Hatha yoga, Ashtanga vinyasa flow as well as its theory. It will include introduction to Ashtanga yoga followed by Sun salutation A & B, standing and seated sequence postures & use of yoga props.

This module covers  an introduction to yoga, lifestyle of a yoga practitioner, Yoga sutras, 8 limbs Of Yoga, introduction of srimad bhagavad gita, understanding all 4 paths of yoga- Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Gyan Yoga and Dhayan Yoga; freedom from unhappinees, realizing pure consciusness. and stories of the enlighten yogis.

You will be introduced to guided meditation, Body, Mind and Breathing Awareness Meditation, om / mantra meditation, trataka, dynamic meditation, tips for developing concentration, Yoga Nidra.

These classes include introduction of Pranayama, benefits of pranayama, general guidelines, clavicular, thorocic and diaphragmatic breathing (Yogic Breathing) Ujjayi, Bhastrika Pranayama , Kapalbhati, Nadi – Sodhana Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama, Surya Bhedi & Chandra Bhedi pranayama, Sheetali & Sheetkari pranayama.

During these lessons you will learn about Yoga Gestures 'Mudras' like Jnana mudra and Chin mudra; Yoga Bandhas (Preparation,
Uddiya); Yoga Cleansing 'Shatkarma' (Rubber-neti, Jalaneti).


Course is recognized by Yoga Alliance USA, the government of India, Yoga Alliance UK & Yoga Alliance International. After completing the first 100 hours you are free to complete the remaining 100 hours within the same year if you wish to apply as a certified yoga teacher. The certificate will be awarded to the student once all of the required hours, assignments and examinations are successfully completed.

On the weekends there will be optional excursions for you to enjoy in Rishikesh. Try rafting, explore the temples and ashrams, enjoy a hiking adventure in the Himalaya mountains and enjoy the culture and sacred nature of Rishikesh.


During the training course students are served three meals per day. The food served is hygienically prepared, nutritious, and healthy. The school puts special emphasis over yogi food for all its students.

Food provided at the centre is 100% vegetarian but not vegan. It can be . arranged provided you inform the chef about it well in advance. There will be served 3 vegetarian meals per day (and a cup of chai during tea breaks) for the duration of the course.

The meals are unlimited. Generally, you’ll get a plate of food with all of the various vegetarian Indian dishes appropriate for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (according to a yogic diet.) The organizers always make a surplus of food for the students, which is usually placed on the dinner tables for the students to grab from if they want more of a particular dish. You can also always feel free to talk to their kitchen staff if you’d like your meals prepared a certain way or if you’d like extra food.

Rishikesh, India

Tapovan area is full of meadows, streams and flowering plants and the meadows are considered as one of the best high altitude meadows in India. The exquisite setting on the fast-flowing Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive for meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, an almost supernatural breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus, pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly ganga aarti - a fire offering or ritual performed on the Ganges.

Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi (DEL) is the international airport that is closest to the schools in Rishikesh and Dharamsala. From there, you have several options to get to Rishikesh. It is recommend to either take an additional flight from New Delhi to Dehra Dun (DED) or arrange for a taxi or bus for the final part of your journey.

Himalayan Yoga Association is located in Rishikesh ‘The world capital of yoga’ on the bank of the holy river Ganga. The Ashram is surrounded by the Himalayas, natural waterfalls and well-known Ashrams and temples, which is a great opportunity for students to experience spiritual side of the self and the magnificence of the city.

Students are provided with comfortable accommodations (shared or private) and nourished with three meals per day. Activities are organised by the school for the weekends and teachers are always available to assist students to feel welcome and at home. The venue is in a safe area where many solo students come from all over the world to experience a yogic lifestyle.

The closest and most convenient airport to fly to New-Delhi. If you are visiting India for the first time you can also take a flight to Dehradun (city nearby), and from Dehradun is a 30 min drive by car. Delhi airport to Rishikesh by car is a 6 hours journey. The school have a transportation package to cover your airport pick-up, transfer from Delhi to Rishikesh (by car) and after completion of the course transfer back from Rishikesh to Delhi.
