15 Day Yin & Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

This programme offers a unique opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the world of yoga and community living as well as further deepen your knowledge and qualify as a Yin & Yoga Nidra teacher for 100 Yoga Alliance accredited hours under the Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program. Take the time to absorb and reflect upon interesting lecture materials, deepen your own asana practice and familiarise yourself with unique yogic principles to further strengthen your teaching skills.

Yin yoga deals with the subtler aspect of our being, letting us go deeper into ourselves. We are moving from the structured body to the energetic with the help of myofascial compartment and meridian channels to develop a functional, mindful approach to the practice.

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a wonderful deep relaxation which supports your asana (physical yoga) practice helping you to find deep rest and stillness. It reduces daily stress by teaching pratyahara - turning attention inward for your own healing awareness, and dharana - concentration, meditation to deepen your yoga.

Highlights of the course include a comprehensive training programme covering all major aspects of yin & yoga nidra in both practice and theory, time to absorb material while practicing the yogic lifestyle and being involved in the community, an opportunity to grow spiritually in a conscious community and further deepen your knowledge of the energy body, study of asana, meditation, pranayama, mantras and many more aspects and techniques of yoga, and learn about releasing tension and relaxing the whole being at a deeper level.

Included in the price is full tuition, 14 nights in chosen accommodation, Yoga Alliance certification, breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea, fruit (as per daily schedule, except on days off), unlimited drinking water, daily scheduled yoga and meditation classes and a welcome kit.

The training is located on Palolem Beach. Undoubtedly one of Goa’s most postcard-perfect beaches: a gentle curve of palm-fringed sand facing a calm bay. The atmosphere is vibrant and there’s plenty to do. Palolem lulls you into a sense of peace but keeps you active and excited. Palolem Beach is situated in Canacona in southern Goa, India. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Goa. Palolem is a natural bay surrounded by lofty headlands on either side. This makes it a calm, idyllic sea with a gently sloping bed that allows you to walk up to 100 meters out from the beach. Palolem Beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself.

It is about one mile long and is crescent-shaped; one can view the entire beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast.

Palolem Beach is located within 2.5 kilometres of the market town of Chaudi in South Goa, and about 35 km from Margao, the district headquarters of South Goa. Other neighbouring beaches in South Goa include Agonda, Colva, Patnem and Galjibaga Beach.

The easiest way to get to Palolem is to take the train or fly to Margao, called Madgaon in the rest of India, and pay for a government approved fixed-price taxi to Palolem. Fixed-price taxis are available from the train station and from Goa Dabolim Airport at Vasco da Gama. Alternatively, Canacona is Palolem's nearest train station, approximately 5-minute drive away, but for shorter journeys from other parts of India it is almost always better to arrive by bus due to the remoteness of the train station from Palolem beach.
