Yoga asanas can help with the recovery and management of many common diseases and disorders. This class will provide students with an introduction to the anatomy and pathology of common health issues that can be dealt through diet, asana, and pranayama practice. There are five key categories of asanas that will be covered in this course, they are standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions. The trainee will be encouraged to practice essential poses in each category. Along with practicing the poses, trainees are also educated about its benefits and functions.

Students will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga in order to strengthen their classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asana. Trainees at this 500-hour yoga teacher training in India are taught about how yoga poses can have a therapeutic effect on the body. They are also taught on using Asanas for disease management, a deeper knowledge of the human body will make Yoga more impactful and also have a better influence on the practitioner.

This part of the curriculum will include studying the ancient Yogic philosophies and traditional texts. Insights on yogic lifestyle and other concepts like that of dharma and karma are also explored in the 500-hour yoga teacher training. Other facets of Yoga and its beliefs are also shared at the training; It is believed that being a Yoga practitioner is of great value and should be considered as a form of service to the community. This class will prepare students to study and understand Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Once a week, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week's readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a notecard directly related to the day's reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class. This is aimed at improving classroom engagement and retention of the day's teachings.

Students will learn techniques to open vital energy centers in the body with the goal of becoming proficient enough to teach these skills to their students. Practical teaching experience will begin from the second week. Some of the key techniques promoted are meditation techniques, Yoga Nidra to manage stress and anxiety, and managing one's breathing pattern with effective Pranayama techniques.


This 500-hour residential hatha yoga teacher training program is registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. After completion of the course, one can register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 500 yoga teacher that will allow you to teach globally.

More than the famous river rafting in Rishikesh, there are number of activities you can do during your free time. if you're adventurous, you can do bungee jumping, air safari, trekking and more. If you want to relax, there's always time to visit the temples and ashrams nearby or visit the sacred river Ganja for inspiration and an insight into Indian and Yogic culture at its purest.


Taste a myriad of healthy Indian spices and flavours. During the course, you will be trained to understand and embody yogic discipline and diet which means healing the body not only from the outside but on the inside as well. Expect a full vegetarian cuisine during your course. You will be served with three healthy delicious meals a day to complement your training. To get a taste of what's in store, think of fresh vegetables mixed with India's famous and aromatic spices. The Bhindi ki subji is a simple vegetarian dish with a flavourful taste because it has hot chapatis or parathas. You can also munch on some healthy and vegetarian kabab, containing some of the most aromatic spices. Who says you can't eat healthy dishes with marvelous tastes? In fact, there are plenty healthy Indian dishes which can be cooked in multitude of ways to retain its nutrients and not compromise on flavour.

Patna is the ancient city located in the south bank of the Ganges River. It's the dusty rustic kind, with old sputtering cars and large buses crowding the busy street. The buildings and markets give off a traditional architecture, its brown walls reminiscent of the Old India.
