The word Ashtanga Yoga, simply means ‘Eight Limbs of Yoga’. The first four limbs are 4 steps towards physical wellbeing and the next four limbs are the four steps towards mental and spiritual wellbeing. In Asan Yoga's 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in India, you will focus on creating the right foundation for Yoga within yourself, which will become the foundation for you to go on to teach others. It means, you will learn all the poses of Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, with the help of yoga-props where needed, in order to achieve the correct alignment and be able to teach safely, and teach others at all stages in their journey with yoga. 

You will also learn the correct method to apply Ujjayi, breath, Drishti gaze and Bandhas or energy locks during the physical practice which will take your practice to deeper levels. Study with yoga masters in the land of yoga, which will forever imbue your teaching with a special quality and essence.

You will learn the correct method to apply Ujjayi, breath, Dristi, gaze and Bandhas, energy locks during the physical practice.

Applied physiology of the muscles and internal organ in the context of Yoga will be taught to you.

You will learn the yoga techniques of breathing which are designed to deepen and increase your awareness of your whole being.

You will have lectures and lessons on meditation that you can practice with ease and without any special requirements.

The art of relaxation is a skill that you should practice in learning Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Asan will hold lectures on the philosophy of yoga.

Teaching methodology classes will be held to help you learn the art of becoming a teacher.

This workshop will teach you the basics of starting a career with the principles of the roots or yoga.


By completing this course, you will be awarded with a 200hr YACPS certificate.

Indian food is known to be richly flavoured with spices and delectable vegetables. Vegetable curry is one of Goa's favourite dishes, served with mushrooms and okra slices. Its broth is as tasty as its meat counterpart and is guilt-free, as well. Mushroom slices could be sauteed in a skillet to create a mushroom chili fry dish and be served with fried rice. Pulao is another kind another kind of fried rice that can be sauteed with different fruits and nuts and would give off a sweet-sour flavour. These meals will tickle your palate and are sure to be nutritious for your body.

Known for its serene atmosphere, the Morjim beach is a great setting for a yoga holiday. It has something for everyone, whether you are a soul-searcher who is looking for tranquility or someone looking to enjoy an adventure through the sands and waters of Goa.

Morjim beach is a delight for nature lovers too. Apart from the Olive Ridley turtles, a variety of of flora and fauna can be spotted here. For those interested, dolphin sighting trips are offered by locals. You can even take a walk up the famous Chapora Fort for great views of the sandy beach and the green palms.

Morjim is around 50km from the Goa International Airport in Dabolim,  where you can take a taxi for a straight journey to the venue. The nearest railway station is the Pernem Station, which is less than 20km away. There are frequent buses from the capital city of Panaji and the city of Mapusa to Morjim.
