28 Day 200Hr Embodied Flow Yoga Teacher Training

Awaken your essential Self. Every breath, sound, texture, or felt sense is a key to awaken to our true nature.

The practice of Embodied Flow shines the light of awareness into the layers of being. It provides a deep sense of ease, strength and connectivity in the human form.

This in turn, empowers you, the practitioner, to be your own greatest teacher as you expand, integrate and facilitate awareness in your entire body-mind.

Embody the teachings of yoga. Embodied Flow stands for curiosity, so rather than staring at textbooks and external information, the attitude is to get inside the teachings.

This playful approach to embodying the physical alignment and anatomy of the body gives an experiential internal knowing of these aspects.

Similarly, you will approach abstract concepts of the yoga philosophy in a tangible way that is down-to-earth and easily applicable to your life.

Learn how to teach with confidence. Facilitating yoga is an outlet for artistic expression. Whether you plan to teach or not, the process of learning to assimilate the teachings and share your voice is a fantastic way to clear pathways and unblock creative stagnation.

There will be sufficient time for practicums with a variety of activities to give you the confidence you need to be able to facilitate classes, hold space and speak your truth!

This 28-day immersive teacher training is registered through Yoga Alliance as a certified 200 hour program.

The price listed includes 28-nights accommodation, tuition for 25 full days of training and breakfast and dinner served on training days.

Location

Bali, Indonesia

Only two kilometres long and one wide, Gili Meno is the smallest of the three islands and by far the most peaceful and under developed. It’s possible to walk around the island along the beach or paths of Gili Meno in under two hours. Most visitors are attracted to Gili Meno for the lure of total escapism and it is therefore very popular with honeymooning couples and adventurous castaway types.

Most visitors arrive via Gili Trawangan then jump on a connecting island hopper boat for the fifteen minute trip over the channel. Boats depart from Gili Trawangan and Gili Air daily. Visitors from mainland Lombok leave from Bangsal harbour in public boats for the twenty-five minute crossing. Purchase tickets only from the concrete Koperasi Karya Bahari building and not from the touts that line the roads into Bangsal. There are no set timings for the crossing from Lombok to Gili Meno, it’s up to the captain to decide. They usually only leave once the boat is full, but it is possible to charter your own public boat or buy up remaining available tickets for a speedier departure.

Food

Although it may not appear so at a first glance, there are actually a fair number of places to eat along the beachfront, all with spectacular views over to Lombok or Gili Trawangan. Balenta is on the north of the island and specializes in local Sasak cuisine with Mount Rinjani and mainland Lombok as a dramatic backdrop. While there are delicious and healthy food offered on-site, you are free to explore the surrounding establishments. Here are a few recommendations: Bibi’s Café, Jungle Bar and Malia’s Child.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

Learn the basic postures and movements of Embodied Flow Asanas. Mantras, Pranayamas, Kriyas and Meditation are all covered in a single, comprehensive course. You will be introduced to Foundational alignment for Embodied Flow asana, where you are integrating developmental and anatomical pathways in relationship to gravity and space. Another important topic is Embodiment Practices inspired by Body Mind Centering—tapping into the senses of different systems of the body in order to gain awareness, registry and resonance of these systems.

This class will focus on your sequencing & creating a theme for your own practice. It develops your communication skills such as group dynamics, time management, and the establishment of priorities & boundaries. You will learn the principles of demonstration, observation and assisting, as well as the proper qualities of a yoga teacher.

This course focuses on the embodied human physical anatomy and physiology, such bodily systems, organs, etc. This allows you to better visualise the energy anatomy and physiology of your students (chakras, nadis). After you learn the basics, the course will go in-depth on how to apply Embodied Flow to your yoga practice.

You need to study the yoga philosophies and traditional texts, such as the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika or Bhagavad Gita, to gain deeper insight and a better understanding of the lifestyle. You will encounter topics like Tantric yoga philosophy in the lineage of Kashmir Shaivism, ethics for yoga teachers, such as those involving teacher–student relationships and community and understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others.

This is where you put all your hard work to the test as you practice teaching as the lead instructor in a mock class. You will be receiving feedback to assist your skills. You will be performing hands-on during classes, like assisting students while someone else is teaching.

Venue   maoMeno
maoMeno, Venue for 28 Day 200Hr Embodied Flow Yoga Teacher Training

maoMeno is located on the island of Gili Meno, Indonesia, just a short boat ride from the east coast off the island of Bali. It’s 15 square kilometers of land are home to about 500 residents and no cars or motorbikes making it one of the perfect places for a 200hr yoga training. The property is surrounded by green fields and palm trees, and is nestled just minutes away from pristine white sand beaches and sparkling turquoise water. The decor is peaceful, clean and simple with natural textures of rustic wood, smooth bamboo, and ylang ylang woven roofs. All houses are individually crafted and each offer their own unique expression to suit your tailored “glamping” experience. The open air yoga shala offers breezy practices on wise wood floors.

The easiest way to access the Gili Islands from Bali is through one of the fast boat companies offering daily transfers from Padang Bai (East Bali). Jessica Kamell recommends Eka Jaya Fast Boat which offers an inclusive shuttle service from Kuta, Seminyak, and Ubud. Cost is approximately USD 45. Another option is to fly to the Lombok International Airport. From there you can get a drive 2 hours north to Bangsal where the local boats depart to the Gilis. Fast boats leave to Meno hourly.
