29 Day 200Hr Mindfulness & Yoga Therapy Teacher Training

Join this 200Hr Mindfulness & Therapy Teacher Training and call Siem Reap your home for a whole month. This course will cover all aspects of traditional, holistic, authentic yoga. It will be taught according to the ancient scriptures and coupled with modern medical and scientific explanations. You will also experience the holistic practice of yoga involving all five aspects of the human system and also understand and feel the benefits of this integrated holistic practice at physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual levels.

This 200-hour teacher training is certified by Yoga Alliance International. The teacher, Krishna Raja, and the online guest-teachers, Dr. Sheetal Chopade and Dr. Shishir Gokhale, are highly qualified, experienced, and certified by internationally recognized yoga schools, yoga universities, and professional bodies, including Yoga Alliance International.

During this training, you’ll learn more about the concept of yoga, human system, mindfulness, disease and yoga therapy. You’ll also discuss the purpose practicing yoga and why it’s important in your modern-day life, the raja yoga, and 18 chapters of gita.

As you join the classes, you’ll learn how to practice yama and niyama in your day-to-day life and you’ll discover how both of these can influence the mind.

You’ll gain more knowledge on asana’s purpose, key essence, two schools, classifications and practices. You’ll have a deeper understanding of asanas as one aspect of yoga, the features of practicing the regular asanas mindfully and in a holistic way, benefits of asanas, complimentary or counter postures, and limitations of each asana.

During your training, you’ll discuss the two schools of pranayama, easy pranayamas, purpose of pranayama practice, six steps of pranayama practice, benefits, safe practice, and the balance of prana, kundalini, sakthi, and chakras.

During this training, you'll have a deeper understanding of pratyahara, dharana, dhana, samadhi, relaxation techniques, kriyas, anatomy and physiology, yogic diet, ayurveda, four streams of yoga, hatha yoga, and preparatory exercises for asanas and mindfulness yogic practice. 

Guided by masters of the practice, you’ll learn more about meditation, the four states of the mind, selecting one object and one thought for meditation, tools for meditation, mantras, AUM meditation, visualization and imagination as tools, smiling and deep breathing as tools, cyclic meditation, obstacles and how to overcome them, and meditation as part of the whole process of mastering the mind.

This training will equip you with the knowledge about yoga therapy Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (I.A.Y.T.), modern day diseases and IAYT, how IAYT can prevent these diseases, how to prevent, manage and reverse the following diseases: diabetes, anxiety and depression, insomnia, and back problems, yoga for stress and weight management, and yoga for children.

Participants will be experiencing themselves the integration of all 5 aspects and mindfulness yoga practice and therefore they will be able to confidently teach others. You’ll be able to set up a class and learn the general guidelines on teaching with other participants.


Upon completion of this 200-hour yoga teacher training, you'll receive a certificate acknowledged by the Yoga Alliance International. This allows you to teach yoga globally.

TIME OFF Cambodia is fast developing into one of the popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. There are numerous temples and sites to visit around the town so you can easily visit them on your free time. The famous Angkor Wat is not too far away so be sure to visit this religious monument when you’re free. If you fancy a relaxing way of spending your time, you can always stay in your room to practice your asanas and self-study. *Please do note that schedule above is subject to change.

The Himalayan International Yoga School in Siem Reap is certified and accredited by the Yoga Alliance International thus you’ll be an internationally certified authentic Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga Teacher once you complete one of their Teacher Training Courses (TTC). To visit the center, fly to the Siem Reap International Airport, the second largest airport in Cambodia. There are separate terminals for international and domestic flights. From there, you can either ride a cab, rent a car, or ride the bus. Major bus companies include Phnom Penh Sorya Transport, Capitol Tours, Giant Ibis and GST Express. Mekong Express comes highly recommended for its safety record and because the staff checks your ticket before giving you your luggage back to avoid theft.

Siem Reap is the capital city of Siem Reap Province in northwestern Cambodia, and a popular resort town as the gateway to Angkor region. Siem Reap has colonial and Chinese-style architecture in the Old French Quarter, and around the Old Market. Its modern architecture is based on the traditional Khmer style. In the city, there are museums, traditional Apsara dance performances, a Cambodian cultural village, souvenir and handicraft shops, silk farms, rice-paddies in the countryside, fishing villages and a bird sanctuary near the Tonle Sap Lake.

Siem Reap today—being a popular tourist destination—has a large number of hotels, resorts, restaurants and businesses closely related to tourism. This is much owed to its proximity to the Angkor temples, the most popular tourist attraction in Cambodia.
