Tamarindo is a town and distrito located on the Nicoya Peninsula on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the Province of Guanacaste. Liberia International Airport, also known as the Daniel Oduber International Airport, is a 45-minute drive from Tamarindo. San Jose Juan Santamaria International Airport is a 4-5 hours’ drive from Tamarindo. Domestic flights between San Jose and Tamarindo are also available.
Buses, shuttles, taxicabs and rental cars are all available at both airports.
