Surrounded by tall pines, nature and hidden in the scenic Kangra valley, lies the small town of McLeod Ganj. It is situated on the Dhauladhar Range, whose highest peak, "Hanuman Ka Tibba", at about 18,500ft, majestically rises behind it.

The spiritually vibrant atmosphere is also the residence of His Holiness - the 14th Dalai Lama and the site of the Tibetan exile community's main temple. In a place where India meets Tibet, you will find Tibetan handicrafts, Thangkas, Tibetan carpets, garments and other souvenirs dotted throughout the town. McLeod Ganj, is one of the most irresistible destinations and offers courses in Buddhism, meditation, yoga and great starting points for some exhilarating treks into the Himalayas.

There are two daily flights from Delhi to Gaggal, a town near to McLeod Ganj. From Gaggal Airport, it is about 20 kilometres to McLeod Ganj, and takes about 45 minutes by taxi. There are more than ten trains running daily from Delhi to Pathankot. Train tickets can be booked online at Indian railways website. There are also many buses from Delhi to McLeod Ganj every day, or it is possible to take a taxi. Make sure the bus is going all the way to McLeod Ganj, as some buses have a last stop at Dharamshala, from where McLeod Ganj is another half hour bus ride, or take an easily-available taxi.

Food

In your training you will be served healthy vegetarian, vegan and ayurvedic food. Ayurvedic food is known to be just as good as medicine that is why the Yoga Center is taking a holistic approach in bettering the wellbeing of students through wise eating. HOURS + TOPICS

Enjoy a daily asana practice and learn how to break down each asana in order to teach to a variety of students. 

Dive deeply into the studies of human anatomy and physiology. Learn about how yoga can be used in the prevention of illness. Find out what the koshers are and why they are significant to yoga.

Understand various historical aspects and teachings of yoga. Understand what it means to live a yogic lifestyle Learn what doshas are and why they are important to yoga practice and your individual constitution. 

Master and learn how to teach various breathing techniques to calm the mind and cleanse the body. Learn about various cleansing kris rituals and how they can assist your yogic lifestyle and practice.

Understand how to teach individual alignments for different students. Learn the art of sequencing a class plus adjustment and alignment skills for helping students reach their maximum potential in class. 

Learn about the different doshas of the body and the specific food that can help achieve the perfect balance of body, mind, and spirit.

Certification

Full attendance and passing of both written and practical exams are necessary to receive a 200Hr RYS Yoga Alliance certificate.
