25 Day 200Hr Foundational Yoga Teacher Training

This 200 hour program is crafted to provide a comprehensive, holistic, and carefully weaved yoga teacher training experience that covers all the major aspects of yoga in both practice and in theory. Deepen your practice and expand your horizons, facilitating your own growth and understanding of yoga through a framework of guidance and support as a student and a teacher. Dive deep into all major aspects of Yoga and learn to share your knowledge with others.

The rate includes training tuition fee, course manual, use of yoga mats and props, unlimited water, coffee and tea, a delicious and healthy lunch buffet daily and the Yoga Alliance certification fee upon completion. You may choose to stay onsite at The Yoga Barn, otherwise Ubud has many many lovely guest houses, hotels and accommodation to suit every budget within walking distance to the studio. 

Students are encouraged to integrate an approach of healing and growth that is intelligent, efficient and honest but also forgiving at the same time. Once the paths towards the inner teacher are drawn they are, more importantly, systematically practiced, built upon and dialogued on. This training also offer a smooth transition for yoga practitioners to progressively step into the role of the Teacher and learn how to teach and assist others confidently. 

Routes of Yoga is offering this 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Barn Guest House in the heart of Ubud, Bali. Bali is the most popular island holiday destination in the Indonesian archipelago. Here you’ll experience a fine combination of sandy beaches and rolling surf, an ancient culture known for its warm hospitality, and exotic temples and palaces set against stunning natural backdrops. Travel inland and towering volcanoes and pristine jungles await with plenty to see and do, although most can’t stay away from the beach for long. It's all about fun, relaxation and personal reflection in this tropical paradise of Bali. 


A minimum of one year yoga practice is recommended for students wishing to join the training.

Ample time is allocated to teaching labs for you to gain hands-on experience in leading classes and getting individual feedback and guidance from both peers and the teaching faculty. The Art of Teaching focuses on developing the key attributes of a teacher along with nurturing each participant's individual teaching style.

These topics cover the more subtle concepts and techniques of yoga, such as chakras, kriyas, pranayama and meditation. Yoga history and the analysis of key philosophical texts allow students to place these techniques within the bigger context of yoga and understand their individual purposes towards its ultimate goal.

Building a strong physical practice sets a solid foundation for the training program. The main elements and qualities of a physical practice are explored while anatomy lectures pave the way for asana workshops which focus on the individual asana groups. 

The course introduces the history and the main philosophical concepts of yoga allowing you to gain a thorough understanding of the science of yoga, illuminating new directions for the journey within.

The goal is for you to gain confidence in your own practice first and how it can positively impact your living and perception of the world. This module also covers the role of a teacher, voice & body language, verbal and physical demonstrations, verbal and physical adjustments, teaching multi-level classes and time management.


Upon full attendance and completion of the course students will receive a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved teaching certificate. This allows you to teach globally as a recognised yoga teacher.

Evening Practice
TIME OFF You will be given 3 days off within the course to give your body time to rest in between programs. You can also use this time for personal reflection and meditation, and to enjoy the gorgeous area of Ubud, Bali.

The Yoga Barn was created by its founders for the sole purpose of bringing together community and giving back to the island of Bali. Located in the heart of Ubud, Bali's cultural hub, The Yoga Barn is Asia's full service yoga studio and holistic healing retreat centre. 

The Yoga Barn's buildings have an indigenous Balinese feel to them. As a center dedicated to healing and renewal, The Yoga Barn provides a lush and inspiring environment for the nourishment of body, mind and soul. The programming team at The Yoga Barn has created a mosaic of diverse programs of the highest quality, taught by a local and international faculty. Daily classes and workshops range from traditional yoga styles of Classical Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Power, Pranayama, Restorative, Iyengar, Yin & Anusara. Other modalities include Meditation, Sound Medicine, Kirtan and Ecstatic Dance.

Ubud is located in the centre of Bali and is well known for its green rice fields, peaceful tranquility and art and cultural scene. The best way to reach Bali is to fly into Denpasar Airport, which is located on the southern tip of the island. From there you can arrange a driver or shuttle to reach Ubud. The journey is around 60-90 minutes and simply instruct your driver to The Yoga Barn in Ubud.

Non Residential


With it’s lovely rice field views overlooking the terraced lawn & amphitheater of The Yoga Barn, the Garden Kafe offers something special for customers. A culinary innovation in healing foods, featuring locally grown produce, living vegan foods, fresh juices, raw snacks & desserts, and special menus for Detox and Ayurvedic Rejuvenation, you can feel well taken care of within the garden-romantic atmosphere. For all students, a delicious and healthy lunch buffet is served daily during the training.

Ubud's first raw food restaurant, The Garden Kafe is mostly vegetarian vegan serving up an array of delicious raw foods from raw breakfast with super smoothies to the unique raw tacos, lasagna, ravioli, mini pizza and raw sweets like key lime pie, raw chocolate mousse, raw carrot cake, etc. The Garden Kafe is open for breakfast and lunch from 8am till 6pm. 

Also, there are plenty of cafes with various price ranges and delicious food within a short walking distance from the venue. Ubud offers a wide choice of restaurants and cafe's, from cheap places serving local cuisine to trendy fusion establishments. Ubud is also a mecca for raw, vegan and healthy organic food and there are many cafes that will suit all taste buds and dietary preferences.
