22 Day 200Hr Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

This 200-hour certification course provides students a strong foundation in yoga asana, or the physical practice, including: alignment, anatomy, adjustments, and modifications. The yoga style is a combination of traditional Hatha and modern Vinyasa, weaved together with the modern science of physiotherapy and neuroscience to give students a strong foundation that can be applied to any teaching style. But it also goes much, much deeper. You will explore the many dimensions of the yogic philosophy and lifestyle, helping students see the world through the eyes of the ancient yogis. You’ll also explore advanced techniques in pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.

This is a carefully-designed training to inspire not just yoga teachers, but yoga leaders. A yoga leader is someone who builds such profound health and happiness within themselves that it naturally flows out to others. A yoga leader carries themselves this way in every aspect of life. You’ll leave this course with a certification from the International Yoga Alliance to teach yoga, and with practical tools to actively balance your life and the lives of others.

The best way to learn to actually teach yoga professionally is from someone who has actually done it before. All  trainings include one popular, successful yoga teacher from a major market like LA, New York or San Francisco, to help guide students through the practical and often difficult aspects of actually becoming a professional yoga teacher and making money doing it.


A strong understanding of the yogic and energetic anatomy is essential as a teacher. A basic understanding of anatomy and physiology helps students understand how to safely practice and instruct others. This training covers not only the western anatomy but also the yogic and energetic anatomy including the chaktras, nadis, and energy channels of the body. This is a fundamentally different view of the body, which is a practical tool that helps direct their practice to relieve specific areas of discomfort or “dis-ease” in the body.

Rather than focusing on naming/identifying the body elements, this training focuses on developing a holistic and conceptual understanding of the construction of the body, so students can develop a more complete and practically useful understanding of the body.


What is yoga? Where did it come from? What is “god?” How can I experience it for myself? These are the topics of discussion Gurumukh will dive into during Yoga Philosophy. This is often students favorite part of the training.

Indian philosophy is very different from western philosophy in that it calls students to observe themselves rather than to inquire into the external world. According to yogic philosophy, “heaven” or “nirvana” is the state of reality- the true nature of things- hidden from us in plain sight. The work of the yogic philosopher is to move beyond the mind in order to experience the true nature of things directly for themselves.



This course has a strong foundation in meditation. In fact, yoga was originally invented as a method to help practitioners get into deeper states of meditation. Each day is begun with a light meditation session, followed by a longer, deeper session at night. You will leave each session feeling relaxed and clear of mind.


Pranayama, a light form of breathing techniques is a daily part of the training, usually performed in the morning. Pranayama is a powerful practice for clearing stuck energy patterns in the body to help student sink deeper into meditation. You will leave the daily sessions feeling incredibly energized and relaxed. Pranayama also has powerful detoxifying benefits.


Your training is a foundational yoga training, which pulls mainly from traditional Hatha yoga, and modern Vinyasa yoga. Students will leave the training with a foundational understanding that can be applied to any area of speciality in the future if they so choose. The approach is to teach you how yoga works rather than simply what to do, so they have the tools for life.


Certification

You will be certified to teach yoga by the International Yoga Alliance, the most widely recognized yoga certification available. This certification is often the baseline requirement for new teachers for most yoga studios.

TIME OFF The daily schedule is designed to keep you engaged, but not over-worked. The teachers utilize the schedule as guidelines, not a rigid structure. It’s very common that teachers will adjust the schedule intuitively on certain days to enhance your experience. The team is also careful to build in regular periods of break and self-study. Students are encouraged to explore Bali in their free time on Saturday & Sunday, as well as before and after the training. It’s very common for students to link up for travel adventures after the training. The staff knows the area very well and are happy to provide guidance.

Venue   Rahasia Manis

Rahasia Manis is an ideal location for holding workshops, retreats, weddings or gatherings. Located near a quiet traditional village, it is only 30 minutes from central Ubud, 10 minutes from some of Bali’s holiest places and temples, and very close to several excellent restaurants. The houses are designed to optimise the natural breezes. All of the houses have either ceiling or wall fans.


The property can comfortably house a maximum of 33 people, and for any overflow there is plenty of alternative accommodation very close by, some being right next door. Each house is completely unique, apart from our 4 luxury huts, and even those have different colour schemes. Every house has a shower and abundant hot water, and some have bathtubs also. Every unit has a fridge, and several have complete kitchens. Every house has its own personal safe. There are currently 16 + sleeping spaces available in 12 different buildings, each en-suite.


There is a separate spa area, and countless little corners for relaxing or meditation. There is a saltwater pool on the property, made from volcanic stone and deep. If guests choose to self – cater there is the option of renting our staff kitchen, with or without the staff to assist.


The large yoga hall is a separate rental, and besides being perfect for yoga and meditation it is also ideal for classes of any kind, performances, dancing or plays. There are also several smaller spaces suitable for meditation, yoga, art classes or any other kind of classroom situation.

The team know how essential vibrant nutrition is during an intensive yoga journey, so rest assured meals are nourishing and satisfying! In your time off, feel free to explore the local Bali food scene which is diverse and exciting!

And the best way to get around in Bali is by car service which you can organize ahead of time or right at the airport.
