200Hr Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

This course is an integral system of yoga based on classical Hatha yoga lineages, with influence from Himalayan Buddhism and Taoism practices. The method is based on universal rules of yoga that ultimately allow the practitioner to develop highly intelligent and mindful practice.

The training starts with a strong physical foundation, evolving into energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual practice. Key principles and rules of yoga are taught, allowing the teachers and dedicated practitioners to gain in-depth understanding, knowledge and insight into the methodology and the effects of yoga practice.

The yoga system encourages function within an existing society, rather than against it or apart from it. This allows for deeper connections with the spiritual and physical beings that surround us on a daily basis. When individuality is inspired and oneness within community is celebrated, the teachings become inclusive of infinite possibilities.

The course provides the perfect yin to yang of intense training, balanced with the relaxation that only paradise can bring.

Location

Koh Samui, Thailand

Koh Samui is an island in the Gulf of Thailand, a small tropical oasis with secluded beaches and a pace all of its own. For years now the island has been a central part of the travelling yogi trail.

With yoga centers, health cafes and a large community of teachers and health practitioners, there is a real sense of being amongst tribe.

The weather is great year round although if you don't enjoy the rain then avoid October until the New Year when the monsoon comes through.

There are daily flights operating to Koh Samui Airport from Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and also many flights every day from Bangkok. You can also reach Koh Samui via ferry from the mainland at Surat Thani if you travel to the south by train. The ferry will take around 90 minutes.

Food

Breakfast and dinner is included in your training. The restaurant serves wholesome health-conscious meals in buffet style. Kickstart your day to an amazing brunch. A freshly squeezed juice, tea and coffee, a sunny side up or vegetable omelette, wholegrain toasts, oatmeal/ muesli with yogurt, or chia seeds pudding, superfoods, boiled veggies with specialty in-house organic dips, vegetarian sandwiches or pancakes, and of course a variety of fresh-cut tropical fruits.

Dinner includes a hot soup, typical local dishes with tofu, brown rice, two or three vegetarian dishes, fresh salad, dahl, and always one seafood dish. For dessert they serve fruits, occasional delectable mango sticky rice or other uniquely Thai savoring meals. The homemade signature tea is a perfect finish to your meal. Also served are light snacks during afternoon breaks; however many students prefer to eat out while exploring nearby beaches or famous shopping areas.
