21 Day 200Hr Transformational Yoga Teacher Training

This transformational yoga teacher training curriculum is influenced around Peruvian Shamanism, providing students with a unique and spiritually driven course that goes beyond just a certification.

Called by the energy of the Portugal ocean, mountains, spirits, and each other, you are invited to come evolve on your spiritual and yogic path.

This unique training holds a strong intention for personal transformation. In this way, the courses are designed not only to provide students with tools to share the wisdom of yoga with others, yet also to look at their own lives from a spiritual perspective. Each training holds unique energy, created from like-minded souls who join from all over the world.

This yoga teacher training course is arranged in four cycles, following the four cardinal directions, asking the guardian spirits to guide a cycle of release, understanding, growth and empowerment.

During this training, you will be asked to embrace all aspects of the yogic lifestyle, such as observing a vegetarian diet, living free from the distractions of other substances, and moving away from technology and unnecessary communication with the external world.

You will begin each morning with a sunrise meditation, followed by a 90-minute asana practice and nourishing yogic breakfast. The days will be spent on learning yogic theory and healing practices through workshops, classes and group discussions. During this time you will cover the fundamentals of yogic living, including yogic diet, anatomy, meditation, cleansing practices, pranayama, Ayurveda and the ancient wisdom of the Yoga Sutras.

By the end of an SYI training 200-hour yoga teacher training, you will have broken down two yoga sequences. These sequences will prepare you to step into the light as a teacher or as a foundation to deepen your own practice. You will learn an Ashtanga inspired Vinyasa flow sequence and a Sivananda inspired Hatha flow sequence.

The 200-Hour Training is inclusive of 20 nights accommodation, the course fee and manual, and daily vegetarian meals.

Location

Alentejo, Portugal

Odemira is a town located in the Portuguese region of Alentejo. It is famous for its wild beaches and for being home to a significant Dutch and German community. The whole of this southern strip of the Portuguese coast, running from the town of Sines to Cape St Vincent in the Algarve, forms part of the Nature Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, a region that contains rare species of flora and fauna and the only place in the world where the white swan can be found nesting on sea cliffs.

The region has taken great care to preserve its handicrafts and various craftsmen can be found here making baskets, furniture, pottery and hand-woven fabrics. Odemira's charm lies in its location on top of a small hill, forming a kind of amphitheatre with its brilliant white houses facing towards the river Mira. The source of the river is in the Serra do Caldeirão, but from this point on it is navigable as far as its mouth at Vila Nova de Milfontes, over a stretch of roughly 30 kilometres, a most beautiful setting for sailing, rowing or canoeing.

Almost all major airlines fly to Portugal. From the United States, American Airlines offers flights to Lisbon via Philadelphia SATA International/Azores Airlines from Boston, Oakland and Providence to the Azores continuing on the the mainland, TAP Portugal from Newark, Miami, New York and Boston, and United from Newark and Washington.

Food

Delight in three delicious vegetarian meals per day in a tranquil atmosphere in open-air settings along the poolside.. Boasting with flavor and color, the breakfast offers fruits, natural juices, yogurt with granola and eggs.
