This course covers the foundations you need to start your journey into the world of yoga. It is especially important to do so, because it allows you to effectively build on those foundation even after the training is complete. Some topics include Foundational Yoga Poses, Vinyasa Karma, Powerful Pranayama, Bandhas, Mudras and Shat Karmas.

To efficiently move and use the body, you must first understand the mechanisms hidden underneath the skin. This course will go over the important systems of the body and the different perspectives of it. Some topics covered are: Systems of the Body, Muscle and Physical Physiology, and Sattva Principles of Alignment. You will learn more about Western and Eastern Anatomy as well as Chakras, Koshas, prana vayus, nadis and gunas.

During these classes you will learn how to observe and see bodies, energy and states of consciousness in students, how to develop your voice and the use of vocabulary and your presence and authentic teaching style. You will delve into the art and science of using music in classes and connecting with and uplifting your students. As a future yoga teacher you will learn more about offering safe adjustments and assists and creating an optimal atmosphere for transformation.

This is the true test, where you finally have mock run to apply what you've learned. You will be asked to teach a class, either one-on-one session or small groups. Don't be afraid to receive feedback as this is really the only for you to master the practice. This will probably be your first experience of teaching yoga, so don't be afraid to make mistakes and keep on learning.

Here you will uncover the historical background of the practice. Having an introduction to the key ancient text of the yogic path, introduction to Ayurveda, and to subtle bodies. You will understand the foundational teachings of Yoga and Vedanta on Life, Self and the Universe. And how to take yoga out of the yoga room and apply it in your daily lives.


Upon completion of the course and its requirements, you will have the credentials to register with Yoga Alliance. Simply go to their website and follow their instructions to finally be an internationally-recognised yoga teacher.

You will have some time in the afternoon and one day each week will be free. On your off days, you will follow the same schedule until 10:30 am, while the rest of the day may include either a free or an optional group excursion/adventure. A sacred pilgrimage may also be included in the package to let you explore the temples in the lower Himalayas, and to the Gange’s river.


You will get 3 healthy vegetarian meals everyday to nourish your bodies throughout your stay. Get  chance to savour healthy and at the same time, delectable local Indian dishes such as the Malai Kofta or a delicious vegetarian alternative to meat balls. Rishikesh, India

Rishikesh is the ideal destination for yoga lovers with different shalas and ashrams scattered across the city. Located at the base of the Himalayas, the city features a remarkable view of the mountains with the Ganga an energetic river ebbing at its feet.

Lakshman Jhula is actually an adjoining bridge across the Ganga, along the old route to the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. The Jhula has now become one of the most visited tourist spots of Rishikesh, not simply because of its ancient origin and religious sanctity, but also because of the grand temples and wonderful local market that have come to be developed around it. A thirteen story temple, called Terah Manzil, near the Lakshman Jhula, is very popular amongst visitors. The top floor of this temple gives a wonderful view of the surroundings.

Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Rishikesh which is approximately 35 kilometres away. Popular carriers like Air India, Spice Jet and Jet Airways often have daily flights from New Delhi. Apart from Delhi, there is a flight from Lucknow to Dehradun as well. To commute to Rishikesh via land, there are tongas, taxis and rickshaws available. Whereas from other cities and states, buses and trains are operated by state transport corporations and private operators. One can also hire private vehicles to get there.
