Patnem Beach is beautifully ensconced closer to the southern tip of Goa. Situated close to the more popular Palolem and Agonda beach, it is rated as one of the quietest beaches in entire Goa. Though the waters here are not as calm and protected as you would find in Palolem, it is smaller, less crowded and a significantly friendlier beach.

A fairly quiet beach, it has its share of beach life and activity quotient. Visitors can easily spot the relaxed beach snacks full of yummy local and international cuisine, lively surf, opportunities for swimming enthusiast and some small beach activities.

Goa is connected to the most part of the world via direct flights. The airport is located at Dabolim and there are 3 major railway stations with trains plying to and from every corner of India.

The Patnem beach is about 70-80 km from the airport and 36 kms from the nearest major Railway Station, Madgaon. It is quite conveniently connected via taxis and bus routes from most part of Goa as well.

Techniques, Training and Practice

You will be taught Hatha yoga asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, and meditation. Undergo training on techniques and have a guided practice of asana techniques.

Teaching Methodology

You will be taught teaching skills such as group dynamics and planning of class. You will also cover the principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting as well as be introduced to different teaching styles.

Anatomy & Physiology

Learn about the human physical anatomy and physiology; Chakras and Nadis plus the study of asana and pranayama of the body.

Yoga Philosophy

You sill study yoga philosophies and traditional texts such as the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita, and Ashtanga Yoga). Tis will also cover Ethics for yoga teachers, such as those involving teacher – student relationships and community as well as understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others (seva).
