HOURS + TOPICS

Ample time is allocated to teaching labs for you to gain hands-on experience in leading classes and getting individual feedback and guidance from both peers and the teaching faculty. The Art of Teaching focuses on developing the key attributes of a teacher along with nurturing each participant's individual teaching style.

These topics cover the more subtle concepts and techniques of yoga, such as chakras, kriyas, pranayama and meditation. Yoga history and the analysis of key philosophical texts allow students to place these techniques within the bigger context of yoga and understand their individual purposes towards its ultimate goal.

Building a strong physical practice sets a solid foundation for the training program. The main elements and qualities of a physical practice are explored while anatomy lectures pave the way for asana workshops which focus on the individual asana groups.

The course introduces the history and the main philosophical concepts of yoga allowing you to gain a thorough understanding of the science of yoga, illuminating new directions for the journey within.

The goal is for you to gain confidence in your own practice first and how it can positively impact your living and perception of the world. This module also covers the role of a teacher, voice & body language, verbal and physical demonstrations, verbal and physical adjustments, teaching multi-level classes and time management.

Certification

Upon full attendance and completion of the course students will receive a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved teaching certificate. This allows you to teach globally as a recognised yoga teacher.
