25 Day 300Hr Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

The objective of this course is to deepen the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice combining it with alignment techniques from the Iyengar style and therapeutic benefits of Yoga. 


Every morning, students start the day with Meditation, Pranayama, Mantra and Kriya. 


The subject of classes in the middle of the day changes every week; going from yoga philosophy, through anatomy up to physiology.


There is an extensive curriculum on Teaching Methodology, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Physiology, as well as expertise on various adjustments, modifications and variations which will help you to confidently teach yoga anywhere in the world.


This teacher training package includes study materials, course manual, three (3) yogi vegetarian and plant based meals per day (except Saturdays and Sundays) and accommodation.

Known for its serene atmosphere, the Morjim beach is a great setting for a yoga holiday. It has something for everyone, whether you are a soul-searcher who is looking for tranquility or someone looking to enjoy an adventure through the sands and waters of Goa.


Morjim beach is a delight for nature lovers too. Apart from the Olive Ridley turtles, a variety of of flora and fauna can be spotted here. For those interested, dolphin sighting trips are offered by locals. You can even take a walk up the famous Chapora Fort for great views of the sandy beach and the green palms.


Morjim is around 50km from the Goa International Airport in Dabolim,  where you can take a taxi for a straight journey to the venue. The nearest railway station is the Pernem Station, which is less than 20km away. There are frequent buses from the capital city of Panaji and the city of Mapusa to Morjim.

Food

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast which are usually served with porridge or muesli with eggs, an inviting salad or soup for an easy lunch, and delicious Indian thali for dinner. All food that will be served is organic, locally-sourced vegetarian food to energise you in your training.

Comfortable rooms at the Goa location have attached bathrooms with hot and western toilets. They are not far from the yoga shala and the beach!

Private Room

Students receive a private room a hot shower, attached bathroom and western toilet. Accommodations, whether they be shared or not, will depend on the number of students in each course.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

Learn to master and teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series, the theory and practice of Mantras, Kriyas, Pranayamas and various techniques of Meditation. The Asana practice is focused on developing the quality of body alignment, observation and sharpening awareness of deeper physiological processes while performing an Asana.

Learn the art of alignment and hand on adjustment with the help of props. Workshops on demonstration of Asanas, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for specific groups and Yoga to deal with common ailments like joint pain, back pain, thyroid, diabetes, etc. will be included as well. It is also important to acquire the qualities and conduct of a teacher while leading a class. 

Learn about the musculoskeletal system with focus on bones, ligaments, origin & insertions of muscles with nerve supply. The course will also focus on the basic overview of the structure and functions of different systems in the human body, anatomy of Pranayama with focus on Energy Systems, Chakras, Energy Bodies and the Cardiovascular System. Practical Application of Anatomy and Physiology to Yoga Practices will also be included.

Learn the ethical codes for Yoga teachers, vegetarianism, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali – Samadhi and Sadhana, Bhagavad Gita – Dhyana Yoga, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, meditations from Vigyan Bhairav Tantra Text and ethics mentioned in Yogic Scriptures for Yoga Practitioners and Teachers.

Learn how to lead an Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series class, create and lead a Vinyasa Flow Led class and assist Lead Trainers and observe and receive feedback accordingly.

Students will be required to engage in self-study and submit daily & weekly assignments on the basis of the day’s lectures and discussions. There will be a practical and a theory exam at the end of the course to assess the students on their learning, practice and teaching during the 4 week Teacher Training Course.

Certification

Upon completion of the course students will receive a 300-hour Teacher Training Course certification approved by Yoga Alliance.

At the northern side of Chopdem river, Morjim is blessed with a abundant blossoming green environment and extraordinary wildlife in the form of Olive Ridley turtles. The relaxed atmosphere, the pleasant weather, bright green tropical cover, the calm Arabian Sea, pretty beaches and the year-long moderate temperatures makes it the perfect place to practice sadhana and work towards attaining the ultimate moksha or sadhana.


Goa is connected to the most part of the world via direct flights. The airport is located at Dabolim and there are 3 major railway stations with trains plying to and from every corner of India.

The Morjim beach is about 70-80 km from the airport and 36 kms from the nearest major Railway Station, Pernem. It is quite conveniently connected via taxis and bus routes from most part of Goa as well. About a 10-minutes’ walk from Raj Supermarket Bus stand in Morjim, you can easily get a bus from Mapusa and Panjim Bus Stand.
