You will observe daily pranayama and meditation along with chanting so you can understand their strengthening and balancing properties on the body and mind. 

This course will also bring you an understanding of yogic discipline, diet and cleansing rituals and you will be taught how to go about becoming a good yoga teacher.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

Yogic postures comprise four hours of the daily schedule. You will be introduced to the various asanas in a systematic manner with progressively increasing level of difficulty. Once the basics are mastered, asana flows, adjustments and subtle aspects of breath & awareness will be brought into focus.

These yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into your daily morning schedule and will work in conjunction with the asana practices.

You will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga in order to strengthen the classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asanas.

This class will focus on introducing you to basic philosophy, concepts and history of yoga. It will cover the various traditional philosophies and viewpoints, insights from modern research and ways in which the essence of this holistic life-view can be integrated into a modern lifestyle.

You will learn techniques to work with vital energy centers in the body with a goal of becoming proficient enough to teach these skills to your students.

Certification

This 200-hour residential hatha yoga teacher training program is registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. After completion of the course, one can register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 200 yoga teacher that will allow you to teach globally. Completion of 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course also gives you the designation of RYT-200 and also the eligibility to enroll in 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in combination both of these courses are called 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course.
