This 200 Hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India is a 25 day, level one residential course that will prepare you to teach yoga and meditation. ​

The course is built on the foundations of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Throughout the entire course, you will learn the fundamentals of proper technique- essential knowledge for anyone who wishes to not only teach yoga to others, but also to practice it properly themselves.

These fundamentals include key alignments, variations, adjustments, and modifications, the use of various yoga equipment, as well as essential teaching methods needed to properly convey lessons to your own students.

The School is situated in the beautiful foothills of Rishikesh and is completely surrounded by breathtaking mountains. Here, you'll wake up to the sounds of nature, with birds calling you to start your day of yoga and meditation.

Your course fee includes your 200-hour certification course, yoga mat and course manuals, props to practice yoga, accommodation in a fully furnished private room with private bathroom, 3 yummy vegetarian meals per day and Sunday excursions.

A better understanding of the anatomy of the body will help you to practice and teach yoga in a safe way, to fine-tune your alignment and deepen your postures.

Understanding the origins of Yoga, the fundamental ideas on which Yoga practice is based and the ways in which it has developed during the ensuing millennia. We will also help you to navigate through the Ancient Vedas.

You will practice different meditation techniques , some include- Mudra, Mindfulness meditation, Vedic Japa meditation, Transcendental meditation, Anapanasatiyog Buddhist meditation techniques , Vipassana meditation, Kundalini Meditation, Raj yog meditation, Chakra Meditation, Third eye meditation, Mantra meditation, Visualization meditation and many more. You will also have the opportunity to explore, learn and experience the ancient art of Veda Mantra and the magic of chanting.

Learn breathing techniques to increase your energy, release stress, improve your mental clarity, and improve your physical health.

Learn cleansing techniques to make the body clean, strong, free of diseases.

Certification

This course is approved by Yoga Alliance. Upon full completion of the course you will be certified as a 200 hour yoga teacher and can register with Yoga Alliance.

The yoga school is located in in the beautiful foothills of the Tapovan area, surrounded by mountains, a short walking distance away from temples, shrines, the Ganga River, mountains, cafes, shops and more. There is plenty to see and do in your spare time, or you may simply enjoy resting, relaxing and taking in the learnings in your own space.

Food

Three delicious, healthy and authentic meals are served daily and included in the course for all students. All meals in Rishikesh are vegetarian and the center has crafted a menu to support all students nutritional needs during the teacher training courses. Indian food is full of flavour and spice (without being too spicy!) and utilizes plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs as well as home made breads, chappati and the essential component of rice!

Tapovan area is full of meadows, streams and flowering plants and the meadows are considered as one of the best high altitude meadows in India. The exquisite setting on the fast-flowing Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive for meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, an almost supernatural breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus, pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly ganga aarti - a fire offering or ritual performed on the Ganges.


Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi (DEL) is the international airport that is closest to the schools in Rishikesh and Dharamsala. From there, you have several options to get to Rishikesh. It is recommend to either take an additional flight from New Delhi to Dehra Dun (DED) or arrange for a taxi or bus for the final part of your journey.
