During the course you will develop your own personal daily practice, develop and practice daily pranayama, kriyas, mudras and dhyana, learn traditional yoga practice, study the Patanjali Yoga Sutras and learn how to incorporate them into your daily practice and life, learn how to structure a class and then incorporate all these components into designing your own class and study Yoga Therapy in depth.


The course fee includes single accommodation, daily vegetarian meals, herbal tea, weekend excursions and course materials such as books & cleansing kits.

Food

Your training comes with three vegetarian meals everyday to give you the energy you need absorb all the course's lessons and relax in comfort in your time off. Please do note that the food is 100% vegetarian, meaning non-vegetarian food is not allowed. If you are following a vegan diet, be sure to inform them in advance to prepare a menu for you. You also have daily herbal tea and cleaning drinking water.

Private Room

All rooms are, simple, clean and have attached bathrooms. The bathrooms are equipped with western toilet seats and cold showers. Hot water is also available during winter season. There is also pure filtered water available for students 24/7, free of charge.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

This class will prepare students to read and understand Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Each Friday, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week's readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a note card directly related to the day's reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class. Topics include Origin of Yoga, Ashtanga, Hatha and Panch Kosha.

Depending on your semester, you will be introduced to different topics that relate to the body and how to align them better. You should expect topics like the stress, homeostasis, skeletal and muscular system.

Proper mantra chanting is what helps to focus the mind and stabilise the spirit. This course covers Ganesha, Guru, Shakti, Gayatri, Mangalacharan and Shanti.

This course focuses on the physical aspect of yoga and performing the various postures. Only once you've mastered the skill can you reliably spread the lesson to your students. You should expect different kinds of poses, like dynamic, standing, inverted and twisting. You will also encounter mudras, bandhas and kriyas.

Learn how to deal with specifical ailments and disease with a yoga practice. Learn how to cater to individual students needs and modify poses and practices to help heal the physical, mental and energetic body. 

Certification

Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to receive your certificate with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher at a 200hr level. This enables you to teach globally.
