Under a grove of oak and pine in the own small valley with a stream, the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort offers a magical scene with cabins on stilts dotting the mountainside where walking is part of the experience. This old camp dates from the 1930’s and it now offers private hotel style rooms, tent cabins, Hostelling International dormitories, along with group facilities, a health spa and a highly regarded restaurant. You will encounter backpackers, young families, and outdoor adventurers from across the world in this fun and social place.

The Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort is 27 miles from Yosemite National Park. There are a couple ways to get there.

One way is to take the YARTS scenic bus, which picks up at the Bug and takes you directly to the park. The ride is about an hour and 20 minutes due to the stops the bus makes, but the ride felt much shorter, because it is visually stunning!

It's recommended purchasing ahead of time. Note that the walk from your room at the Bug to the bus stop is about 15 minutes.

Another way to visit the park is to drive. You'd pay separately for park admission as well as parking.
