This course will provide you with the knowledge of advanced yoga teaching skills and will deepen your own practice to allow you to become a more gifted and confident teacher. 


Develop a daily practice of kriyas, asanas, pranayama, bandha, mudras, and dhyana. Delve deeper into Yoga Anatomy and Physiology. Enjoy an introduction to Structural Yoga Therapy. 


Study philosophy from the classical texts of Yoga (Bhaghavad Gita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hathayoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita and the Upanishads). 


The course also has an introduction to Ayurveda and Marma Points. 


By the end of the course you will be able to design and teach a 90-minute asana class to your peers which incorporates all these components. 


You will also plan and teach a 30-minute presentation to your peers regarding yoga-related topics (i.e., marma points, Ayurveda, yogic diet, anatomy, physiology, chakras, philosophy, mudras, etc.)


The 300-hour course fee includes single accommodation, daily vegetarian meals, herbal tea, weekend excursions and course materials such as books & cleansing kits.

Food

Your training comes with three vegetarian meals everyday to give you the energy you need absorb all the course's lessons and relax in comfort in your time off. Please do note that the food is 100% vegetarian, meaning non-vegetarian food is not allowed. If you are following a vegan diet, be sure to inform them in advance to prepare a menu for you. You also have daily herbal tea and cleaning drinking water.

Private Room

All rooms are, simple, clean and have attached bathrooms. The bathrooms are equipped with western toilet seats and cold showers. Hot water is also available during winter season. There is also pure filtered water available for students 24/7, free of charge.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

This class will prepare students to read and understand Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Each Friday, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week's readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a note card directly related to the day's reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class. Topics include Origin of Yoga, Ashtanga, Hatha and Panch Kosha.

Depending on your semester, you will be introduced to different topics that relate to the body and how to align them better. You should expect topics like the stress, homeostasis, skeletal and muscular system.

Proper mantra chanting is what helps to focus the mind and stabilise the spirit. This course covers Ganesha, Guru, Shakti, Gayatri, Mangalacharan and Shanti.

This course focuses on the physical aspect of yoga and performing the various postures. Only once you've mastered the skill can you reliably spread the lesson to your students. You should expect different kinds of poses, like dynamic, standing, inverted and twisting. You will also encounter mudras, bandhas and kriyas.

This course covers how you should structure and sequence a class. Topics include activity planning, principles and techniques of teaching effectively.

Certification

This course offers you the chance to become a 300hr registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. If you have already completed your 200hour course, then you will be eligible to apply as a 500hour teacher.
