A traditional fisherman village, Arambol Beach is a pristine and secluded beach in North Goa and can be approached by a winding road through the grove of cashew trees. It is a rocky as well as sandy beach and has a fresh water lagoon which extends along the bottom of the valley into a thick jungle. The lake is fed by boiling hot springs and is lined with sulfurous mud which people love applying on their body to do wonders to their skin.

The Arambol Beach extends over 16 km and consists of two beaches, more popular is the main beach known as Harmal beach, a long stretch of curving sand and good for swimming. The second beach can only be reached on foot and is bordered by steep cliffs on both sides.

The easiest way to get to Arambol is by plane. Fly to Dabolim International Airport and from there take a taxi to Arambol, which takes approximately forty five minutes.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

The yoga classes that will be conducted include Therapeutic Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Ashtanga. You will learn how to quiet the mind and perfect asanas with individual adjustments as needed. It will also give you a chance to see how all the aspects of yoga can be taught to a certain level in a single class.

Meditation is performed one hour a day after all other classes have been completed. Each day you will practice a different technique in order to find which style works well for your individual needs. Meditation gives you time to relax your mind, and find peace inside. After completion of the course each aspiring teacher will have enough tools and techniques to lead a meditation class for their own students, as well as having techniques to pull from for individual practice.

This class will discuss how prana is effecting you every day and how you can control your breath and energy through different breathing techniques. Pranayama is incorporated in yoga classes, meditation, and can be practiced individually as well. A firm understanding of the study and practice of pranayama is necessary for any person who wants to deepen their yoga practice, and essential for every teacher who wants to teach true yoga.

Anatomy & Physiology will cover the structural and functional organization of the human organism from cellular level through tissues, organs to eleven body systems. The understanding of their cooperative work in light of holistic health will provide useful knowledge about safe practice, contraindications and precautions. Special emphasis will be put on potential dangers, risks and the methods and ways for improvement of health imbalances with use of yogic practices.

Philosophy builds on the understanding of what the practice of yoga is achieving. This class will go over the teachings from the Gita, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Beda, and Sankhya Philosophy. How yoga is practiced through asanas and in daily life will be greatly discussed and completion of the course will leave you with a deeper knowledge of all aspects of yoga

Art of Teaching is the class in which students will learn how to properly sequence and instruct a yoga class. You will practice instructing one on one, in small groups and finally lead a complete yoga class. In addition students will learn how to adjust for certain asanas, and how to use props to make further adjustments. The focus is on proper alignment and how to make each asana possible for any person regardless of injuries or physical fitness. It takes a scientific approach to the study of the body and how each asana builds on the previous one.

Learn about correct alignment and props to assist individuals facing health challenges of all kinds, Students will learn how to assess and assist their own students and aim to bring balance to their body, increasing wellbeing and vitality. Therapeutic Yoga will give time to rejuvenate the body while teaching how to make every asana accessible for any level, and a comfortable way to stay in each asana with the use of props.

Certification

Student must have full attendance, and pass both written and practical exams to receive their 300Hr RYS Yoga Alliance approved certificate.
