The Barcelona Retreat Centre was built in a big and beautiful modernistic house in the heart of Barcelona. The centre is located in a nice and quiet street, yet minutes’ walk away from the central gothic neighbourhood and a 10 minute walk away to the beach of Barcelona.
The building is one of the catalogued examples of the modernistic movement (Gaudi’s movement) and was built in the year 1890.
All rooms are spacious and carefully designed by one of the most creative and young design studios in Barcelona: PPT Interiors. The result is a welcoming, highly beautiful and comfortable centre to stay, relax, socialise and practise yoga.
The centre can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time. External local students are welcome but maximum size group will be 15.
The Shalas
The theory classes and practices will take place in different spaces.
Rooftop shala: A fantastic rooftop shala at the top of the building. There will take place some workshops and morning and evening practice.
Indoor Chimney Shala: nice and cosy space within the house. This will be used for meditation and 1 to 1 practices and meetings.

The Classroom: nice, sunny and airy classroom at the front of the house. This also becomes a nice space to relax, read and study after classes.
Playroom shala: this is a bigger and covered space for special workshops and in case of a rainy day. Its minutes walk from the house.
