Bangkok, Thailand

With its wide boulevards, manicured parks, imposing palaces and statues dedicated to former kings, Dusit is the administrative centre of the kingdom, as both the National Assembly and royal palace are in this district, as are several ministries. It is connected to Rattanakosin Island by Ratchadamnoen Avenue.

Dusit, Bangkok is a land of contrasts with action at every turn; marvel at the gleaming temples, catch a tuk tuk along the bustling Chinatown or take a longtail boat through floating markets. Food is another Dusit, Bangkok highlight, from local dishes served at humble street stalls to haute cuisine at romantic rooftop restaurants.

Luxury malls compete with a sea of boutiques and markets, where you can treat yourself without overspending. Extravagant Luxury hotels and surprisingly cheap serviced apartments welcome you with the same famed Thai hospitality.

There are several public transportation to get in Dusit. The Chao Phraya Express Boat serves the district, but it is still quite a hike towards the Dusit Palace from the pier. There are plenty of bus lines going through, but a taxi is by far the easiest option.
