A secluded and sacred place for the journey to spirituality, Mysore is 170 kilometers away from the Bangalore International Airport. The city has its own airport, the Mysore airport, just 12 kilometers away from the city. There is only one flight to and from this airport, the destination is Bangalore.

Food

Food is not available in the teacher training package but the town has several restaurants famous for their delicious meals at very affordable prices. Malgudi Cafe is famous for their excellent freshly brewed coffees and Himalayan tea. If you are looking for a hearty and filling meal, you could try the Cafe Aramane which serves steaming breakfast platters, delicious snacks and specialty doas. There are also restaurants such as Anu’s Bamboo Hut offering healthy vegetarian lunch buffets and even evening smoothies. Home made meals are also available at the retreat centre itself at a very affordable price.

Private Room at Yogadarshanam

Private Room

Yogadarshanam offers accommodation to its students visiting Gokulam, Mysore for yoga courses in a clean, comfortable and secure environment above the school as well as besides the school to enjoy the yoga training with a homely feeling.
Rooms have a good bed with pillows and blankets,  an attached bathroom ( Western Style), hot water and fan, most of the rooms include a study table and chair, wardrobe to keep things and clothes, a common kitchen / attached small kitchen available on demand, and most of the accommodation includes a good Wi-Fi connection.

In this lesson you will learn more about the analysis of asanas, pranayama, kriyas, bhandhas, mudras with its name, background, techniques, limitations, common mistakes, application, benefits, modifications, variations, contra indications, curative values for therapy, way of demonstration, observation, style, corrections and yoga sequence formation.

These classes include practice of all yoga techniques – Asanas, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, Kriya, different school of Sun Salutations and Moon Salutations, Yoga Therapy sessions, pre-natal yoga, and Partner yoga.

This tackles the study of human body including cells and tissues, skin, bones, joints, muscles, respiratory system, circulatory system, digestive system, excretory system, etc., both from medical and yoga point of view.

During these lessons, you will learn more about the study of yoga scriptures, different streams of yoga, Mantra, Yoga Prayers, Auto-biography of yogi, Guidelines and principles to practice yoga, yoga in education, Panchakosha, Panchaprana, chakras, Nadis, ethics for yoga teacher, classroom environment, Teaching methodology, learning process, psychology of the learner, Yoga lesson plan and demonstration method.

The school believes that students should do enough teaching practice and observation of live teaching class. At the end of the course you should do assisting work with the main teacher and also practice teaching with expert feedback.

This class is optional but it will enable you to help run the yoga school which includes office work, organization of different programmes, among others, to get administrative knowledge. Seva is serving others and helping others with compassion, serving not for personal gratification but to up lift others. It is an offering with best thoughts, sympathy and compassion without others force.

This includes the study of different school of meditation which enables you to apply any one of the meditation which is suitable for your students. Different kinds of relaxation techniques are included which are discovered from different yoga research centers.

These classes include study of different school of meditation, study of different yoga systems, biography of great Indian yoga masters, different yoga books, sharing knowledge, discussion, and case studies.

Certification

Upon completion of the course students will gain a 200 hour Yoga Alliance-approved yoga teaching certification that allows all students to teach globally.

Another option is to take a shuttle bus from the airport going to the Mysore bus stand. From that specific place, you can take an auto rickshaw going to Gokulam. If you opt to have a hassle-free trip, Yogadarshanam can arrange an airport pickup for you for a minimal fee.
