One of the popular sunrise beach side destinations in the South Eastern part of Bali, Sanur stretches for about 5km along an east-facing coastline, with the lush and green grounds fronting right onto the sandy stretch of beaches. Many people do indeed consider Sanur 'just right', as it lacks most of the hassles found to the west while maintaining a good mix of restaurants and bars that aren't all owned by resorts.

Sanur was first introduced to the international world through the paintings of the famous painter Le Mayeur, a Belgian artist who fell in love with Sanur. His studio was then made into a museum called Le Mayeur museum, which is still in Sanur.

A reef and breakwaters, while thin, protect the beach, so families appreciate the gentle waves. Sanur has a good range of places to stay and it's well placed for day trips around the South and North to Ubud. The seaside town offers breathtaking sunsets and is a perfect set off point for fishing trips, cycle paths, temple visits, art galleries and restaurants. Sanur is only a 15-20 minute drive from the main airport in Denpasar.

Food

Food is not included in the teacher training, however, staff is happy to point you in the direction of Sanur's best restaurants. There are many healthy options to suit vegetarians and dietary requirements, as well as, many local authentic Balinese options that will allow you to enjoy the real taste and flavours of Bali.

Sanur, known for its notable large collection of bars and restaurants, makes it a perfect fit for a culinary adventure. With local food paired with the laid back setting of the quiet coastal village area, makes dining in Sanur a great dining experience. Students also receive a 20% discount on all juices, health drinks and any yoga meditation health products in the studio.
