There are three different private lodgings that will give you a stunning ocean view. All accommodations are designed to make you feel like you are a part of nature. The design and architecture will remind you of the wild. As they are constructed with local materials such as palm trees, Utopia Rote values the art of recycling. All rooms have traditional thatch roofs, open air bathrooms, dry compost toilets, balconies, mosquito nets, and drinking water.

Nusa Tenggara is also called the Lesser Sunda Islands. Located in the eastern region of Indonesia, it features different islands and natural reserves.


One of the islands found in this region is the Rote Island, a tourist destination. Boasting of clear waters and beautiful coastlines, the place has been a surfing spot for surfers, beginners and experts alike. Rote has been a popular diving site amongst divers, being home to beautiful reefs teeming with life and with strong currents. Usually, beginners have to have more practice to be able to dive into the deeper regions of the water and explore the underwater caves and larger fish.


Even if you are a non-surfer, the beaches are spectacular and eye-catching. Life on the island is peaceful and quaint and is a total disconnect off the urban lifestyle. Here, you can enjoy endless days of summer like time seems to be going slowly.


You will have to ride a ferry in order to get to Rote. Although, you have the option to fly to the island. Either way, you will arrive in the Ba's harbour or in the Rote airport.
