51 Day 500-Hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training


This is a residential traditional Hatha & Vinyasa focused course and is registered with Yoga Alliance USA. This training course provides a solid foundation in different aspects of yogic disciplines that prepare you to adopt yoga as a life profession.

There will be: Mantra recitation, daily joints and glands practices, yoga postures, meditative steps of doing asanas, six cleansing exercises, science of breath, yoga energy locks and yoga gestures, meditation, yogic sleep, history and philosophy of yoga.

Plus yogic anatomy and physiology of human body, basic principles of Ayurveda, asana alignment practicum classes, yoga teaching practice, and teaching methodology.

The training includes 50 nights' accommodation, all yoga classes, yoga practicum and practice teaching, healthy nutritious vegetarian three time meals along with tea; breakfast, lunch & dinner, filtered water, herbal tea and snacks, free use of yoga tools during the course, local sightseeing exploration and your 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course certification from Yoga Alliance.

By signing up and booking for this course, you have agreed to disciplines and diet requirements which are as follows:

1. No alcohol, drugs or any addictive substance are allowed during the course.
2. No smoking of any kind, including e-cigarettes are allowed on premise.
3. No consumption of non-vegetarian (i.e. meat, poultry, eggs, etc.), including eggs, within accommodation or school/resort premise.
4. No verbal or behavioral aggression, including passive aggression, towards classmates, school management team, teachers and resort staff at any time.
5. Students are required to attend 90% of the training hours.
6. No using mobile phones for external communication or social media in class during an ongoing class.
7. No friends and relatives are allowed to stay with yoga students without any prior permission from the management

Hatha yoga technique including centering, entering, refining, holding, coming out, and reflection, Ashtanga-Vinyasa-Yoga flow – series 1, Surya-Namaskara – dynamic surya namaskara, surya namaskara with breathe awareness, surya namaskara with mantra chanting. Types of Yoga posture- standing poses, sitting poses, backward bending poses, forward bending poses, spinal twisting poses, fire series, inversion poses, shavasana. Postural alignment and art of adjustment. Counter poses and contraindications.

Science of breath, sitting postures for pranayama practice, how to establish diaphragmatic breathing, types of pranayama – nadi shodhana pranayama, ujjayee, kapalabhati, bhastrika, shitali, shitkari, brahmari, and anuloma viloma.

Introduction to the concept and practices of relaxation. Relaxation in daily life. Philosophy of yoga-nidra. Sequence of beginning and advance relaxation practices. Tension & relaxation exercises. Systematic relaxation exercises. 31 points relaxation exercise. 61 points relaxation exercise. Preparation for yoga-nidra. 61 blue star- yoga-nidra.

During that course you will deepen your knowledge in advance yoga asanas for meditation, OM Kriya, Spinal breath, Sushumna breath through chakras and reviewing the steps into basic meditation.

A deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology, the yogic study of digestive system, the effects of yoga practices on digestive system and Respiratory system, the effects of yoga practices on respiratory system, effect of yoga posture on muscles and systems, Nadis (energy channels), Chakras (energy plexus), Pancha tatwa (five great elements), Panchakosha (five sheaths), Pancha pranas (five vital energy.)

General introduction: six school of Indian philosophy, Samkhya and yoga, intro of pattanjali yoga sutras, highlight of astanga yoga: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and Samadhi, introduction to Upanishads, life style and yoga ethics.

Intro to Ayurveda. Philosophy of Ayurveda: body and mind. The concept of tri-dosha: vata, pitta, and kapha. The concept of tri-gunas: sattva, rajas and tamas. Ayurveda and the balanced and healthy nutrients diet. Balance of the mind and body through proper diet as prescribed in Ayurveda.

Jnana-mudra, Dhyan-mudra, Vishnu-mudra, Hridaya-mudra, Intro to mudras and their importance in yoga practices. Mudra and its psychology. The elements residing in the fingers and five mudras: akasha-mudra, jnana-mudra, agni-mudra, varuna-mudra, and prithvi-mudra.

Lesson plans, assignments, practice teaching, feedback, group discussion, question and answer, classroom organization, demonstration, health Concerns.

Intro to meditation & mantra. Understanding of the following mantras: aum, gayatri, trayambakam, guru, shanti etc. Understanding of morning, evening and meal prayers. Surya-namaskara 12 mantras along with bija mantras and their understanding. Pronouncing the names of the advance asanas. Selected yoga-sutras recitation with their understanding.

Cleaning :  Jala-neti, Sutra-neti, Kunjala, Trataka, Agni-sara, Nauli.

Jalandhara-bandha (chin lock), bandha (abdominal lock), Moola-bandha (root lock), Maha-bandha (great lock)

Class sequences, develop intention for classes, self-evaluation, assignments, practice teaching, group discussion, question & answer, home work.


On completion of the course you will be awarded with a 500 hour yoga teacher certification approved by Yoga Alliance. This enables you to confidently teach around the world.

You will have 6 days a week of course work and then one day off a week where you will enjoy excursions and sight seeing around beautiful Chiang Mai, Thailand.


Three delicious vegetarian meals are served each day during your training. Snacks and filtered water and tea are also provided. Meals will be wholesome and inline with a yogic diet. The garden grows an abundance of food on the land and most meals will be utilising farm fresh produce. Enjoy living simply and sustainably and enjoying the best gifts from nature. Thai cuisine is full of delicious flavour and is both hearty and also light. Common meals are curies, rice dishes and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The female normal dorm (3 female students per dorm) for the training is a traditional Thai-style bungalow wooden house (non-AC), situated in a remote countryside of Chiangmai, Mae Wang District on the way to Doi Inthanon. All rooms have attached bathroom with basic toiletry set, towel, standing fan and room cleaning is provided in the room.
