Ananda’s 6-day yoga retreat in the island of Koh Phangan, gives you the opportunity to escape from your hectic days and rejuvenate your spirit as you relax in a week of yoga. During your twice daily yoga classes all throughout the week, you will get to know more about proper alignment, hips and hamstrings, skilful backbends, detox sequence, core and balance, chakra energy glows and heart openers. You will also learning more about philosophy and theory where the instructor will discuss living your yoga, ancient and modern teachings and the energy of yoga. You will get a Nature Day where you can spend a whole afternoon exploring the island outside of the yoga studio. You can have a day at the beach, snorkel, or have a jungle hike to the waterfalls. 

Aside from the comprehensive yoga classes, this retreat also includes the accommodation of your choice, amazing vegetarian and organic food, a nature day where you explore the island and a 1-hour Thai massage.

Ananda Wellness Resort caters to those seeking a relaxing, and rejuvenating experience. Their yoga studio is 15m x 10m, making it one of the biggest in Thailand. The resort also showcases a traditional herbal steam sauna where you can relax and enjoy its many benefits such as reducing high cholesterol levels, treatment of skin diseases and more. You can also enjoy other services like the herbal steaming massage in this revitalizing sauna nestled among herbs and local plants, high off the ground.

Ananda also has a natural swimming pool, open all day and evening for a refreshing swim or for relaxing in the sun. Enjoy the benefit of natural mineral salts and negative ions while you swim; the pool is kept sparkling clean with special filtration and is 100% free of all chlorinated products. One of the most sought-after treatments in the resort is the Thai massage, a therapeutic healing practice that has existed in Thailand for more than a thousand years. Chinese concepts of traditional medicine and Taoist philosophy and practices both influenced the practice of Traditional Thai massage. The beauty and uniqueness of Thai massage is the sitting and hand position when applying pressure and in smooth sequence transition. Relaxation and rejuvenation is the main key of the resort, but they also cater to the active and adventure-oriented market. Enjoy bicycling, kayaking, snorkelling, boat trips, fishing, Thai boxing and even motorbiking around the resort for the ultimate vacation experience.

If you are coming from outside of Thailand, then the first step on the journey is to get to Bangkok. Once in Thailand, you have a number of options depending on your preference, time, and budget. The most direct way to Koh Phangan is to fly to Koh Samui, which has frequent flights from Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket and Pattaya. From there you can take a minibus to Maenam Beach pier and take a boat from there to Thong Sala on Koh Phangan.

During the retreat, you can expect the most amazing vegetarian food per day from breakfast to dinner. You can look forward to buffet meals every day where Ananda takes care of your nourishment and health. Herbal tea will also be available in every meal to aid you in your holistic health overhaul. You can pick from omelettes, om bowl, fruits, muesli, yogurt, honey, eggs, toast, hash browns, eggplant, toast and veggies for breakfast. Veggie burgers, ananda bowls, curries, pad thai, Thai fried rice, chili basil, brahma bowl, pesto noodles and tomato basil salads. Fruits and even chocolate cakes are also available for your dessert.

Ananda’s Love Kitchen caters to yogi preferences with an abundant selection of a Sattvic nature, prepared in a clean and wholesome environment with love. They offer a full selection of fresh vegetarian and vegan items, with daily specials and a variety of healthy dishes, including many international favourites offered at the request of guests. There is also a full selection of traditional Thai dishes on the menu along with a juice bar with fresh fruit and vegetable juices, fresh coconuts and shakes.

Perfect for catching the sunset in solitude, vibrant purples, oranges and blues all blend seamlessly together to create the unparalleled beauty of Hin Kong beach. This unspoilt wonder with two kilometres of fine sand and mangrove trees lined up by the shore gives a real untouched feel, perfect for a serene and tranquil tropical getaway. Coral reefs, found 300 meters of the beach, are protected by law to ensure that this haven is nurtured and maintained.

This location is not as well-known as the other parts of Thailand thus it maintains a sense of solace and solitude. Only a couple of bungalows can be found near the area and it is surrounded by lush lands and trees. This tropical oasis makes anyone feel a strong connection with nature with its azure waters gently crashing to the shore.

The closest airport is Ko Samui (USM) which has frequent flights from Bangkok, Phuket and Singapore, Hong Kong and several direct flights each week from Chiang Mai and Kuala Lumpur. You can travel to Koh Phangan through a ferry and the dock can be easily accessed from the airport. Ferries depart several times a day with the last one around dusk.
