This course is for those who are willing to fully immerse themselves into the teachings of yoga. Students have the option to take two full trainings back to back – the 200 hour and 300 hour training. 

There is a short break in between the courses to allow students to experience, teach and have time for self study and practice.

The full course goes far beyond learning how to teach a class; you'll build a strong foundation in yoga so that you have the right answer in every situation. 

Alongside the training, you will be immersed into the yogic lifestyle to get a sense of authentic teachers and how you can emulate their virtues and practices in your own life for better clarity and joy.

The training will open an extraordinary depth to your practice and your teaching, opening a whole world of new possibilities for your leadership as a global yoga teacher. It will prepare you to teach at festivals, lead retreats and assist in trainings globally.

Rishikesh is the ideal destination for yoga lovers with different shalas and ashrams scattered across the city. Located at the base of the Himalayas, the city features a remarkable view of the mountains with the Ganga an energetic river ebbing at its feet.


Lakshman Jhula is actually an adjoining bridge across the Ganga, along the old route to the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. The Jhula has now become one of the most visited tourist spots of Rishikesh, not simply because of its ancient origin and religious sanctity, but also because of the grand temples and wonderful local market that have come to be developed around it. A thirteen story temple, called Terah Manzil, near the Lakshman Jhula, is very popular amongst visitors. The top floor of this temple gives a wonderful view of the surroundings.

Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Rishikesh which is approximately 35 kilometres away. Popular carriers like Air India, Spice Jet and Jet Airways often have daily flights from New Delhi. Apart from Delhi, there is a flight from Lucknow to Dehradun as well. To commute to Rishikesh via land, there are tongas, taxis and rickshaws available. Whereas from other cities and states, buses and trains are operated by state transport corporations and private operators. One can also hire private vehicles to get there.

Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

Learn the Sanskrit alphabet in Devanagari script. You will be able to read and pronounce Sanskrit words, as well as some grammar, and you will explore the role of Sanskrit in a yoga practice. Also you will dive deep into advanced mantra practice and learn how to incorporate Naad in the classes to give a deeper experience to your students.

This course dive into the more complex applications of yoga, such as blending different styles in one organic whole. This allows you to prepare for any situation in your classes and react to them properly. You will also learn advance Pranayama and its principles, learn sequences, and how to use the techniques for healing the body, mind, and spirit.

Teaching is much more complicated than standing in front of your students and repeating what you've learned. You need the skills to better observe your students and know how you can help them further their practice. This is especially difficult since each person has different ways of learning and other affecting circumstances. Here you wil l earn the art of sequencing, energetics of assists and vinyasa krama; ethics of teaching yoga, including the types of teachers and students; teaching Advanced Kundalini and Sattva Tantra Kriyas.

This is the true test, where finally have a mock run with your fellow students to apply what you've learned. You will be asked to teach a class, either one-on-one session or small groups. Don't be afraid to receive feedback as this is really the only for you to master the practice. This will probably be your first experience of teaching yoga, so don't be afraid to make mistakes and keep on learning. This includes class observation and transcriptions focusing on adjustment, sequencing, theme, and music.

This program includes advanced philosophy, deeper understanding of the sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Hathayogapradipika, Tantras and Agamas, Upanishads

Satsang combines many of the subjects of the course, including chanting, meditation, japa and mantra, nada yoga and music, community, diet, nutrition, Vedanta, philosophy and practical skills for conducting satsang. Questions are answered as part of Satsang.

This course includes you learning about philosophy, gaining a deeper understanding of the sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Hathayogapradipika, Tantras and Agamas, Upanishads.

These are classes that you teach in a small group setting to hone your skills. Includes you teaching as well as observing and assisting in classes taught by others, and will include honing your oral presentation skills.

This includes the advanced principles and theory of pranayama, practical training in samavritti and visamavritti pranayama, including teaching methods.

Certification

Upon completion of the course and its requirements, you will have the credentials to register with Yoga Alliance at the 500hr level.
