  Bangalore, India

Bangalore or Begalaru is India’s third largest cities. Once dubbed as the “Garden CIty of India”, Bangalore has evolved into a flourishing, cosmopolitan city. Because of its growing working population, Bangalore remains to be a busy city. On the outskirts of Bangalore, Nelamangala town offers visitors a different kind of feel. A town that lies just near to north of Bangalore, Nelamangala features several attractions tourists can surely enjoy.

Nelamangala is famous for several cultural attractions such as their historic, ancient temples one of which is dedicated to Lord Shri laxmi Venkataramana swamy and Garuda. It is worshiped as the main deity as well as the procession deity. Nelamangala is also the place where you can find the oldest Temples of Lord Shiva, the Mahalingeshwara Temple and the Mukthanatheshwara Temple. All these temples are in the style of cholas. Nelamangala also has the busiest street called adepete. Here you will discover that it is the only marketplace for all food products.

You can get into Bangalore through the KempeGowda International Airport located in Devanahalli. International flights are available via Air India, IndiGo, AirAsia and many more. The airport hosts to 10 domestic airlines and 21 international airlines connecting the city to about 50 destinations across India and the rest of the world. Bangalore also has two major railway terminals. The Bangalore City railway station is situated in the heart of the city. Most trains, both local and long-distance, arrive and depart from here. The other terminal is Yeshwantpur Junction located on Tumkur Road. Travelling from Mumbai to Bangalore by train takes a long time that’s why air travel is recommended. You can also go by bus. Both government and private buses run services to major cities like Mumbai, Goa, Chennai, Mangalore, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirupati and Hyderabad. Buses can be a normal luxury bus, a Volvo A/C bus or a sleeper bus for night travel.
