In this retreat, each day will begin with optional meditation and pranayama followed by a morning asana class on the awe-inspiring new yoga platform overlooking the endless blue ocean. The morning practice will gently open your body and attune your mind to the breath, slowly moving and building into a flowing and dynamic sequence. The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience. Morning practice will be followed by a hearty breakfast. Then you will be free to head off down to the beach, relax by the pool or explore the stunning beauty of the surroundings. The group will meet again in the late afternoon for a second yoga session which will be a more gentle class. There will be one yoga free day during the week.

In the evenings, you will be visiting a charming traditional Greek restaurant just across the way from Vigla Village and you will also be enjoying another a short walk away to town of Spartia. Lunch and dinner aren't included in the cost to give people the option to go for dinner as a group or self-cater if preferred; each apartment has a small kitchen.

The local village, Spartia, also has its' own pretty beach just a 10 minute walk away and a small centre with a couple of shops and a restaurant. For those of you with an adventurous spirit you could hire a car to explore the outstanding beauty of this island. Caves, boat trips, snorkelling, fishing, trips to stunning local villages and a visit to Myrtos, known to be one of the world's most beautiful beaches, are amongst some of the many things on offer in Kefalonia.

Go on a vacation close to the beautiful Ionian sea and witness the crystal waters, clear blue sky and the lush mountains first hand as you stay in the stunning Vigla Village. The word Vigla, which translates to observatory, has inspired the whole resort thus all the structures and buildings inside the village overlook the turquoise waters of the sea. Panoramic views of the island are awe-inspiring especially when you see the rich biodiversity in the crystal clear waters from up above. 

The sunrise coming over the top of the mountain, named Aenos, is spectacular illuminating the whole village with its warm and comforting light. A picturesque path engraved along the side of the cliff, leads down to a wonderful exotic beach, giving the visitor a sense of a small personal paradise.

Enjoy the swimming pool, the tennis court, and the BBQ in the Vigla Village, all of which are situated amongst the eternal pine, eucalyptus and olive trees. Vigla village is located 100 meters from the beach 12 kilometers from the capital of Kefalonia, Argostoli. It is also just 9 kilometers from the Kefalonia Airport. You can book flights directly to Kefalonia from UK airports in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardif, East Midlands, London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Dublin. It is also possible to take an indirect flight via the Greek mainland. Airport transfers will be arranged for you. The price will depend on numbers sharing the cost and time of arrival.

The harmony of green and blue, Spartia is a village southeast of Argostoli with breath-taking beaches and crystal clear waters of greenish-blue colours will leave you speechless. It is a traditional fishing village with abundant natural beauty that attracts many visitors. The beach of Spartia lies next to its fishing jetty enclosed by a steep white limestone cliff known as Hatzoklis. The cliff gives respite to the beach from the afternoon sun as well as the strong winds. If you like to stroll around the beach you will find interesting rocky enclaves and pools in the outcrops nearby. Water is crystal blue and warm. There are also a couple of taverns at the back of the beach. To reach the small sandy cove section you will have to clamber over a few small rocky outcrops, nothing much. Spartia is a pretty little beach with its clear aquamarine water and soft white sand. There are yachts just off the coast here, as there is sailing center based here.

Spartia, Kegalonia glows in the Ionian Sea and carries a rich history in cultural tradition. Its stunning beauty has attracted people from all over the world but the culture and the community continue to stay intact. Although it has developed over the last years as a family destination, beach places never get crowded due to its large size.

If you happen to love snorkeling or diving then the amazing seabed will definitely satisfy you. You might even get the chance to encounter the rare, caretta caretta, sea turtles that take refuge here, as well as the monk seals monachus monachus. Spartia, Kefalonia’s culinary tradition, history, picturesque villages, upbeat nightlife and pristine beaches will make you fall in love with the island.

The main airport, Kefalonia International Airport is located near Argostoli and Lassi, and is a typical small island airport. The main travel days are Tuesday and Sunday. Flights to the Greek mainland are available from Sky Express and Olympic Air. You can also arrive by frequent ferry from Italy, the Greek mainland and other islands. From Athens, KTEL buses go from the bus terminal in Kiffisou Street to various destinations on the island.
