It is so easy to get around with most of Europe on your doorstep before or after your course.
With its different cultures and places, all steeped in history, there is so much to see and do.
As with everywhere the coastline is always a draw.
Explore the coves, cliffs and fishing villages of Spain, Portugal & Greece.
Or the small Italian seaside towns in Tuscany or the Amalfi coast.
The Adriatic sea (Croatia), Aegean sea (Greek islands) and the endless
picturesque towns on the Mediterranean coastlines.
A tour, organised or independent, is a great idea and easy to organise here.
Everything is so well connected by train and plane and the countries & islands
of southern Europe are all easy & close to travel between.
You can travel from Spain, through the south of France and into Italy quickly and with ease.
All the schools are Yoga Alliance registered and will provide you with your Certification, which is where everybody starts with their education, these foundational-level 200-hour yoga trainings.
All courses will follow the set standard certification curriculum.
You will study pranayama, asanas, yoga teaching methodology,
meditation and all parts of a yoga lifestyle and philosophy.
Be sure to take care to find the yoga training that speaks to your heart.
Format Options - At your Local studio or Residential
With there being so many yoga studios and schools in all the cities of Europe you can choose from two distinct course formats.
1. Train at a local studio to where you live, there are registered schools in most towns and cities.
Completing certification at your local studio also means that you have the opportunity to save money and certify through an affordable teacher training, as you will probably still be living at home and the travel should not be too expensive.
The advantage here is if it is the studio where you usually practice then you will be comfortable with the teachers, yoga styles and teaching philosophy. You will probably already know other yogis participating too. This makes the whole experiences comfortable.
2. Residential programs offer an immersive experience where you will find yourself in a completely new environment and setting with a whole new group of yogis. These yoga retreats offer all types of intensive trainings over a 2-4 week period usually.
The benefit of this experience is the holistic nature of the program and the significance of your journey. Attending can be a real time of growth and change. Just as much as you learn about yoga you are sure to learn about yourself, and often big life decisions and changes bubble to the surface.
By being residential with a group of like-minded people you also get the benefit of a lot of downtime where you bond and support each other through the process, and the school often offers a lot of extra workshops and activities on these yoga teacher training courses, adding to your practice and classes.
