Perfect hotel! We stayed here for 4 nights when we first arrived at Bali. Great location with a lovely setting. Pool area is great too pool is cold but after a long day of exploring Ubud it is just what you need. Free breakfast at the herb library which you can have anytime is one of the best breakfasts I had whilst in Bali! All the staff are really friendly couldn’t fault anything!

Beside the design of this property which was lovely surround by lush garden that makes you only want to spent the day by the pool and green the top point was the staff. The reservation organize all our request even we are not there and they also quick reply to my email. Other things, from the restaurant, front liner and even the house keeping very helpful. Full of smile and care.

Great still authentic hotel. Great staff at front desk and at the restaurant. We really enjoyed our tours with Nyoman. He is talented guide and driver. He was really taking care of us like his own family, which we really appriciate.

Best Hotel I ever was. Beautiful, harmonic designs, balanced poetry of architecture, cleaness and impressive high standard of furniture and service. Food was delicious and spa... The spa you need to feel on your own skin. When you visit Bali, this Hotel is a must stay for at least one night.

Ideally located if you want to go out in the evening, and lively enjoy for you to see where your feet take you.
Do opt for the bed and breakfast as there breakfast kept us quite full for our day tours and the menu was good.
My experience at Alaya Resort was fantastic. My room was very comfortable and had a view over the city. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help, even when not asked. I do not have anything apart from good comments to make.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and can't speak highly enough of it. The staff are amazing and the location is perfect. This time I was travelling on my own but felt so comfortable and welcome. I'll keep coming back.

Quite possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. So modern, well thought-through little details, and amazing architecture of the building itself. Very clean, rooms are immaculate and are cleaned twice daily. The staff are incredibly helpful, are happy to assist with anything. The breakfast menu has choice for anyone and the little afternoon tea snacks were a perfect touch. A wonderful, large swimming pool and fantastic location overall in Kuta. I would definitely recommend this and will stay here again myself if I could. Excellent experience.

Great resort! good service, very nice staff always smiling.
They have 2 swimming pools, the rooms are nice and clean.
Breakfast was really good. You can have breakfast the whole day.
The location is perfect close to everything.
Definitely recommend this one!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely resort. We had a pool access room that was a great size with an enclosed garden. The room itself was beautifully appointed, a huge bed where the linen was crisp, white & was changed daily, plus a fruit basket every day. The toiletries supplied in the bathroom were heavenly scented. Breakfast every morning, a la carte (cereal, fruit, pastries, hot meal, fresh juice and tea/coffee) was delicious, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Also free afternoon tea was a delight. There was a little golf cart available to drive us to Discovery Mall to save the 5mins walk down the lane if we were being lazy. The staff were always happy to help with any request..... couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Amazing place! We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it! It a cozy little resort with very nice staff. It also has it's own restaurant (Herb Library) that has very tasty traditional dishes. We had a cooking class with the Chef and it was an awesome experience. The room was exactly like the photos seen on Booking.com, meaning very, very nice! It's enormous and it has a big balcony with an amazing view to the garden of the resort.

Came here with 2 other girls for a birthday girly weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. The resort although was in the centre of Ubud, was far enough back (5 mins walk) from the main roads that you heard no street noise from the rooms.
The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were attentive but not overbearing. We had rooms overlooking the river and that was lovely.
Pro's: The bed might have been the softest, comfiest bed I've ever stayed in... best sleep I've had in a hotel for sure.
Breakfast can be served anytime (up till 10pm) which I loved. The food although vegan and vegetarian friendly, has a few meat options for those missing their protein. The chicken noodles were pretty awesome and the breakfast was a good portion size.
Con's: We asked for two adjourning rooms and although the rooms were next to each other, they didn't actually join which was a bit of a shame.
When we requested an ice bucket, they delivered a half coconut bowl thing filled with ice... although super cute, it really struggled to fit our champagne in (#firstworldproblems hehe).
They also provided us with airport transfers which were very helpful and took the hassle out of getting there, since we did arrive quite late at night. The peace and tranquility by the pool is lovely and the cocktails are really tasty. They do massages too, but we never managed to fit one in. All in all, I'd recommend it if you're looking for relaxing in a well priced clean hotel with great breakfast and comfy beds in the heart of Ubud.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Alaya Resort Jembawan for 7 nights earlier this month. This lovely, well-appointed, immaculate and intimate hotel is tucked away on an Ubud side street, close enough to everything a visitor would want to see, yet seemingly far away in paradise, once you're on the property.
Generally, my next step would be to mention the accommodations; however, prior to doing that, I must say that Biggest highlight of my stay, honest to goodness, was the Alaya Jembawan Staff. From the moment I arrived to the second that I left, they made my stay one in a million! Each and every single one of them was kind, friendly and knew me by name. Every single detail of my visit was taken care of, even down to the chef and waitstaff knowing my avocado and cashew allergies. Anyway, the Alaya Jembawan Staff worked very hard to make my stay seem effortless. And they succeeded!
I stayed on the third floor in an Alaya Room that overlooked the pools. It had a wonderful patio on which I could sit and take my afternoon tea or read a book as the sun came up in the morning while all of the tropical birds sang their songs around me. The king sized bed was comfy cozy and sound sleep was not a problem for this one! Amenities were a plenty! Leave all of your soaps, shampoos and lotions behind to save room for souvenirs. The same goes for bathrobes and house slippers too, as those are provided. The TV Channel selection was a bit on the weak side; however, I wasn't in Bali to watch TV, so it didn't really matter.
I hit the DALA Spa nightly for treatments because, well, that's what I do on vacation. The women took excellent care of me. They were all very knowledgeable about the services and tailored them to suit my needs. Bliss!! Thank you to Ami, Estii, Dewi, Yani for making me feel so amazing!
The Herb Library! In one word, Scrumptious! I loved the idea that I could have breakfast at any time of the day. I ate the Nasi campur four times, it was that delicious! All of the food is fresh, prepared to order and served by yet another staff of amazing people whose names escape me (and the folder in which I placed them) which makes me very sad, as they never forgot my mine. (I'll remember next time, I promise!)
I took the morning Yoga class 0700-0815 daily. The resident instructor, Mr. Suresh, was on holiday, thus we had a substitute for five mornings named Raldo. He was delightful and did an excellent job to tailor the classes to suit all levels, from beginner to expert.
Long story short, you will be very very happy for choosing Alaya Jembawan on your next trip to Ubud!
In addition to the individuals mentioned above, I would also like to express my gratitude to Lia, Deni, Mentari, Nita, and Ngurah for making my stay such a wonderful one. I hope to see you again next time!

Hotel is perfectly located, close to main ubud street but still quiet with great view on the jungle. The stuff is very kind and helpful, always smily.
The food is delicious.
Pools are nice, not very large but enough.
SPA is very good, better than in the little massage centers all around Ubud, although the prices are much higher - but I still would recommend it :-)

Amazing service, very friendly staff makes for the best atmosphere to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. Great food and location.
James, September 2017
Beside the location is a little far from the main road, I enjoy everything of your hotel in Kuta. Excellent room design.
Rachel, September 2017
I had excellent massages in Alaya Hotel. Friendly staff and peaceful environment. I will come again with my family.

Great stay well trained friendly staff. Love the location & the food is awesome.

A great hotel with great people and service! I stayed there for seven nights and there is nothing I can complain about. Rooms are spacious and clean, gardens are lush, the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxing and the food is very good.
I went with the seven day stress relief package and it exceeded my expectations. The program created for me by the ayurvedic doctor Suresh was targeted and comprehensive, yet allowed enough flexibility so that I could relax as well. Last but not least, all the treatments received in Dala Spa were simply wonderful. The therapists are well trained and the massage is simply divine!
Once again, thank you for the hospitality and thank you to all the wonderful people there!

One of the most authentic spots I've ever been to. Everything was local and efficient!
Over seen by an Ayurvedic doctor suresh- who was the highlight of this stay- we loved his yoga, meditation and healing Ayurvedic consultation! Thank you suresh you made our stay so beautiful.
The other staff are so gentle, helpful and local and all went out of there way! Loved the healthy food choices! A central gem in the city close to all the food spots and yoga spots! Loved every second of it!

Alaya Jembawan is beautiful. The gardens are lush and there are two pools. Our room overlooked the river. It was private, quiet, supremely comfortable and clean, with luxurious bathroom products. The wonderful experience began with the welcome / check-in and continued through to departure. The resort spa provides ayurvedic treatments and rituals. On our first night we had the open chakra massage. The spa personnel are highly skilled in their practice and I will never forget this experience. The morning yoga and afternoon meditation taught by Suresh is excellent and I recommend doing this daily! The cherry on top is the onsite Herb Library restaurant which has a comprehensive selection of vegetarian / vegan menu options. Everything we tried was superb and my only regret was not having sufficient time to sample the entire menu! The Alaya Jembawan is well situated for venturing out in Ubud, without being amidst the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this resort.

The Hotel is very nice, because it is a new one. We have problem only with 2 things:
1. when we want to go to the Bali Safari and Marine Park the Hotel driver transport us a fully different Zoo, it was 1.5 hour from the Safari and Marine Park so we lost half day netto time in this very expensive place.
2. the last day after we checked out our taxi driver late and we wanted to eat the breakfast what we have already paid but the staff denied that, instead off packed two eggs an apple and a banana. According my opinion in a 4* Hotel these things are not acceptable!!
But despite these I give a good review because a hotel employee named Nyoman one of the most friendly and correct man whom we ever met (we suggest him a salary raise) He helped us a lot in case of everything. We would like to thank you him one more. The other staff are friendly too!

This hotel really is an amazing option in order to visit Ubud. Great and brand new facilities with probably one of the best service I have been in. Top quality service (special mentions to: yoga lessons with a magnificent teacher and the spa with a great team of therapist that make your experiences really enjoyable and relaxing). While in Ubud I also stayed in the Hanging Gardens and I can say the service in Alaya Resort Jembawan is well ahead. Simply top!
The restaurant has a very particular natural/veggie style and although I am not a big fan of this kind of food normally I must say that they actually do it very good. Everything exceeds expectations.
And all of this in a calm and relaxing jungle environment but at the same time 10 minutes walking from city center.
Probably the best option to visit Ubud. 100% Recommended!

We stayed seven days at this hotel and loved the fact that it was so centrally located (lots of restaurants and shops nearby) and in a very quiet setting, amongst the trees. We had adjoining rooms at the hotel and the rooms were spacious and had everything you could ask for. The facilities in the hotel were excellent, two swimming pools: one a smaller infinity pool (ideal for young kids) and a bigger adult swimming pool. The pools were also pretty quiet until our kids arrived!
One of the best things about the hotel was the friendly staff. They were so attentive and caring and when it rained they would rush over to give us umbrellas, when we forgot our push chair when we left the hotel to our next hotel in sanur, they had it sent to us at no extra cost. A great team for sure.
They also were able to arrange for us an all day trip at a reasonable price with a friendly driver. Their spa is also excellent and I had a Balinese massage there, which was probably the best massage I have ever had and also in a pristine environment
Would strongly recommend this hotel as it was good value for money

We stayed for 4 nights. We had a free upgrade from a deluxe room to Alaya room. The room was fantastic, clean and luxurious. When you see the 2 pools of the hotel you may thing you are in the magic world of the elves.. This exotic place is like paradise. The staff is so polite and helpful that makes you feel like a king. They also serve your breakfast at the room if you ask them (no extra charge). The location of the hotel is excellent, only 2 minutes walk from the central road of Ubud, close to supermarkets, restaurants, shops and everything you may need.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay again there for sure if I would come to Ubud again.

I just came home from Bali where I spend 10
days staying in Alay resort Jembawan, Ibud. The facilities of this hotel is top notch. The rooms are clean and welcoming. But what makes this hotel very special is the atmosphere created by the staff. Never have I felt more welcoming and taken care of. They do so with a very authentic and warm energy. Being met every day with big warm smiles is very addictive. This is not just a hotel this is an experience of the Balinese mentality. I loved it!!

The stay here was fantastic! From the minute we arrived we felt well looked after!! The staff who checked us in were friendly and welcoming. The room was a river view room- it was peaceful with a great view. The room was very comfortable with robes and quality toiletries. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Little extras like the complementary afternoon tea made our stay seem very special. The breakfast was delicious and a good size with ample choices. We used the spa and it was excellent. The location was convenient as it was an easy walk for shopping and restaurants. All in all it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in!!!!

I loved the hotel and its friendly staff! Lovely infinity pools! Lots of greenery, feels like true jungle. The food from the restaurant is super yummy, awesome selection available for breakfast! Clean and beautiful room! Went to the spa daily, try the balinese massage and the cream bath for hair, it's worth it! Will come back soon!
