If you already have your foundational-level and are looking for further study then this is your great next step.
Join a group of people looking for their next teaching journey.
This program is an extensive study of teaching practice, techniques, postures, philosophy, meditation and pranayama.
The 300hr yoga course builds on the knowledge and subjects covered in the first level.
By adding this certification to your previously completed foundational-level, you can become a qualified professional yoga teacher.
It is the completion of this standard that most studios and organizations require of their new teachers. And more importantly, it is after completing this stage that you will have a deeper understanding of the whole area, providing you with the confidence to start out on a teaching career.
But it doesn't stop there. There is a lifetime of learning as a student and teacher in-front of you.
The path to further qualification includes a continuing education of thousands of hours of teaching practice over years.
This pathway of learning, teaching and further learning through being a student and teacher underwent a transformation in 2020 to provide an adapted and clearer agreement between the yoga teaching community, students and yoga alliance. How far you wish to go in this yoga education journey is your choice.
The bedrock of this process is a shared ethical commitment - covering the scope of practice, a code of conduct to adhere to as a teacher, and respecting equity in yoga for all.
The set standards of Yoga Alliance apply to the curriculum.
Classes will include the following parts for your yoga certification.

The most common course to find is Hatha as it is the most popular yoga style, although there are many styles and multi-style combinations and course emphasis.
Hatha mixed with Vinyasa is very popular, as is a singularly focused Vinyasa, or an Ashtanga and/or Vinyasa training.
There are schools that focus on Meditation, that put a great focus on the skill, deepening the connection to the spiritual side. Or Therapeutic programs which will include Ayurveda and Nutrition.
Most programs are a mix of yoga disciplines and styles. Most of us love to mix our yoga, enjoying the heat of Ashtanga and/or Vinyasa, or the hot of Bikram or Power Yoga; and the longer-held poses and slow stretching of Restorative and/or Yin Yoga.
Then there are trainings with a focus on Iyengar, Kundalini or Tantra Yoga.
Many styles and disciplines can be practiced together in one course, you could find one that includes Aerial or Acroyoga, Yoga Nidra and the Energy work of Kundalini and Tantra.
