Maria Vincent is an experienced Yoga and Meditation teacher having taught at resorts, retreats, gyms and private clients all over the world, including South East Asia, UK, Corfu and Marrakesh. She discovered yoga and meditation right here in Siem Reap, and found that after being in a car crash at 17 where she fractured her spine (she had previously suffered from chronic back pain) a regular yoga practice not only settled her physically, but her meditation practice also helped her mental well being.
She traveled to India to study in Rishikesh at the base of the Himalayas and qualified in Hatha and Ashtanga, she has also completed her 300hrs advanced training in India. Maria always includes some breathing technique (pranayama) and meditation in her classes, and aims to include all levels even for Ashtanga which some consider a more strenuous style, Maria will look after you!
Maria also has her own Yoga company – “Get Real Yoga” and she runs retreats and workshops to help give people the tools to deepen their practice and heal themselves. A healthy dose of humor is a must, as Maria doesn’t believe that yoga has to be a serious affair, and laughter is the fastest way to enlightenment after all!
