If this is your first training then you need to complete the first level of your education.
And the most awesome way to do this is to experience it on a residential training, which will meet the Yoga Alliance set curriculum standards.
Whilst you are reading this there are classes going on in open air shalas on cliff tops with breathtaking views.
Training Retreats take place every month worldwide.
In recent years what is on offer has grown and grown. Their popularity has led to so many different types run by yoga schools.
You can enjoy learning and training in your yoga style of choice and on a course with a focus, methodology & philosophy you desire.
And now these programs have been around a while they are very well organised and productive teaching environments.
The experience is so much more than the classes. It's your personal journey of development and growth. Of immersing yourself in the yogic way of life and philosophy, increasing your knowledge and depending your understanding.
It is a wonderful time of transformation.
And you share this with an amazing group of people all charged by the energy of the journey together. Attending your first training is possibly one of the most memorable and significant experiences of your yoga journey.
Courses are taking place every month of the year all around the world so there are many options open to you.
Checking the climate of where you are considering going is a good idea. You don't really want it to be raining every day of your stay.
Then there is the cost & time of year as it can be a different price to travel to countries during their high seasons.
You also need to consider timing as you will need at least twenty days, usually a month, to complete your certification.
All these factors are good to consider but the course, philosophy and people on a yoga teacher training will speak to your heart and guide your decision.
It's an incredible personal journey and there is a right course and yoga school out there for you. And you are sure to find it here if you browse through the locations and time of year you are interested in.
But it all depends where you want to go in the world and then you can find the right course for you.
They don't only take place in the hotspots we have already mentioned.
Or on the other side of the world in the Americas consider Peru. It will be an awesome experience wherever you go.
The level of training you attend depends on your level of education.
Everybody usually starts off with their foundational 200 hour training.
Or a 500 hour course if you have the resolve to complete this standard in one go.
If not you just add an advanced 300 Hr Yoga Certification program after your 200 and you will receive your 500 RYT.
Whichever training and wherever you choose to go, have fun and make the most of your time in this awesome decision you are making.
