500Hr Kailash Tribal Yoga Teacher Training

The 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training is an advanced training course for 10 intensive weeks. It is a combination of our 200 hour and the 300 hour courses together. You will graduate from the 500 hours AYTTC program as a highly specialised yoga teacher uniquely qualified to work with the students you feel drawn to serve. Furthermore, you will be equipped to offer Ayurvedic Yoga for Health as well as meditation training. The 500-hour Certification provides a teacher with a wide knowledge, experience and qualifications to teach yoga at all levels. Embarking on a Yoga Teacher Training course is an important step and can reap rewards for a lifetime as it will provide a compendium of tools needed to facilitate the development of each student as a competent yoga teacher.

The course fee includes tuition, yoga mats and covers, study materials, bags, and two sets of uniforms. Study materials would consist of books and reading materials that will continue to provide you with in-depth knowledge and information once you return home.

This is a combination of the 200hr and 300hr program offered at Kailash Tribal School. Your full commitment is required starting with deepening your personal practice and learning to teach in an active, therapeutic way.

Infuse your practice with various styles such as Vinyasa Krama, learn how to use Bandhas and Mudras and deepen your understanding about Principles of Alignment and Injury Prevention.

Go into the depth of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras . Understand the 8 Limbs Path also known as Ashtanga Yoga including Yamas (Ethical Rule), Nimyamas (Observations), Asana (Postures), Pranayama (Breath), Pratyahara (Sense Withdrawal), Dharana (Concentration), Dhyana (Meditation) and Samadhi (Absorption).

Experience many styles and techniques. Practice the classical methods of Raja Yoga to deepen your Hatha Yoga practice by combining  inner and outer methods that increase the power of the practice.

Improve your Nutrition and your health by Learning different kinds of diets, suited to various kind of body types and physical  health situations.


When you meet the requirements of the course, you will receive a certificate of a qualified yoga teacher recognized by yoga alliance.

TIME OFF The daily schedule consists of 7 contact hours per day. Tuesday is a day of rest with no contact hours; it is a time for self study and open book assignments. In your spare time, you are welcome to explore the beautiful and majestic area that is full of temples, sights and breathtaking natural wonders.

Kailash Tribal is located in Dharamsala, a scenic town where snow capped mountains embrace this land from every direction. The school is a friendly and professional Yoga Alliance USA certified Yoga centre that has been running RYS 200, 300 and 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and weekly yoga courses since 2002. They also provide a range of holistic training, incorporating Reiki, Meditation, Philosophy, Ayurveda and Singing Bowl courses.

Kailash Tribal School is located 100 meters from the main square and only 45 minutes from the Gaggal Airport. The town has many facilities available including markets, laundry, fresh fruits and vegetables, multi-cuisine restaurants and internet facilities, as well as, plenty of traditional temples, sights and breathtaking natural surroundings.

Non Residential


The town has many delicious cafes and restaurants that offer various styles of cuisine, as well as, some of the best Indian food in the country. Delight your taste buds with local cuisine and get a real feel for the delicacies that India is so well known for. Fresh fruits, vegetables dishes, warm chai, juices, chapati, dahl and rice dishes are all easily accessible and will nourish you for the duration of your stay.

Surrounded by tall pines, nature and hidden in the scenic Kangra valley, lies the small town of McLeod Ganj. It is situated on the Dhauladhar Range, whose highest peak, "Hanuman Ka Tibba", at about 18,500ft, majestically rises behind it.

The spiritually vibrant atmosphere is also the residence of His Holiness - the 14th Dalai Lama and the site of the Tibetan exile community's main temple. In a place where India meets Tibet, you will find Tibetan handicrafts, Thangkas, Tibetan carpets, garments and other souvenirs dotted throughout the town. McLeod Ganj, is one of the most irresistible destinations and offers courses in Buddhism, meditation, yoga and great starting points for some exhilarating treks into the Himalayas.

There are two daily flights from Delhi to Gaggal, a town near to McLeod Ganj. From Gaggal Airport, it is about 20 kilometres to McLeod Ganj, and takes about 45 minutes by taxi. There are more than ten trains running daily from Delhi to Pathankot. Train tickets can be booked online at Indian railways website. There are also many buses from Delhi to McLeod Ganj every day, or it is possible to take a taxi. Make sure the bus is going all the way to McLeod Ganj, as some buses have a last stop at Dharamshala, from where McLeod Ganj is another half hour bus ride, or take an easily-available taxi.
