200Hr Ayurveda Yoga Teacher Training

Ayur Yoga School’s Ayurveda 200-hour teacher training retreat is a yoga-alliance registered training program for participants who want to deepen their knowledge in Ayurveda and yoga. It is an intensive course specially designed to make students understand the concept of balancing mind, body and soul by following the principles of both ancient sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga together. Provided under the guidance of professional Yoga gurus and Ayurvedacharyas, this teacher training course aims to keep the flame of learning yoga ignited in the hearts of people. Ayur Yoga creates a safe and nurturing space for accelerated learning, personal transformation and confidence building. It is the perfect place for those seeking to expand their knowledge and deepen their relationship with self and others. 

The teacher training includes all classes, Shatkarma accessory for cleansing techniques, yoga course materials, a notebook, tours to the nearby location, a private room with en suite bathroom, Ayurveda meals, herbal tea and a Yoga Alliance USA certificate.

Surrounded by scenic beauty and the rolling hills of Himalayas, Ayur Yoga School is a retreat centre situated in the sacred Rishikesh, India where yoga enthusiasts gather to deepen their yoga practice. Syllabus

HOURS + TOPICS

Learn the basic principles of Ayurveda, the concepts of Ayurveda, nutrition and the sattvic diet. Learn about Ayurveda and yoga philosophy. Practice yoga asana according to dosha imbalance and body constitution. Study Ayurveda, modern anatomy and physiology for yoga as well as Ayurveda Yoga therapy to avoid illness and disease.

Benefits of pranayama and prana vata, techniques of breathing, how to use bandhas, yogic cleansing practices and detoxification practices. 

Techniques of meditation and different types of meditation, Om meditation and mantra recitation.

Introduction of Chakras, Marma, Kundalini, Nadis, Bandha and Mudras and with the benefits.

Study the Hatha yoga Pradipika and Patanjali Yoga Sutra and how they are instrumental to yoga in the past and in the present.

Learn how to teach yoga confidently and how to structure and conduct a class properly. 

Certification

Minimum 90% of attendance is required when attending the training. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a 200-hour yoga teaching certification that is recognised by Yoga Alliance which allows you to teach globally.

TIME OFF The Ayur Yoga School is surrounded by various ashrams and temples which you can visit during your free time. The retreat package includes guided tours around the town. A walk around the area will expose you to the vast culture of India through various interactions with its people and the authentic and traditional food that you can try in the restaurants near the school. You can always opt to enjoy a relaxing day in the school and practice your yoga and meditation lessons.

Situated at the laps of lower Himalayas, Ayur Yoga School housed in Ayuskama Ayurveda Institute is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganga flowing through it. It is situated in the middle of Rishikesh, a town considered to be a truly sacred place for yoga enthusiasts throughout history. Rishikesh is 24 kilometers from Haridwar, an important centre for pilgrims closely associated with the Ramayana. There are also a number of yoga ashrams and yoga institutes here.

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant which is 18 kilometers away where taxis and cars are available for rent. Rishikesh is also connected by rail with Haridwar, Delhi, Bombay, Howrah, Lucknow and Agra. It is connected by road with most places of North India.

Food

Ayur Yoga School prepares three yogic, vegetarian and home-cooked meals for you every day. Following Ayurvedic and Sattavic principles, which are meant to help create a balance at any stage of life, the meals are made with lacto-vegetarian produce that are fresh, seasonal, and naturally sourced. Food is freshly prepared with grains and ripened vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. 

The Sattvic diet also includes oils, spices, milks and cheese. The menu is prepared with health and nutrition in mind to support you in making long lasting changes in personal habits, food choices that will bring you to a new level of spiritual, mental and physical health and happiness.

Tapovan area is full of meadows, streams and flowering plants and the meadows are considered as one of the best high altitude meadows in India. The exquisite setting on the fast-flowing Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive for meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, an almost supernatural breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus, pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly ganga aarti - a fire offering or ritual performed on the Ganges.

Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi (DEL) is the international airport that is closest to the schools in Rishikesh and Dharamsala. From there, you have several options to get to Rishikesh. It is recommend to either take an additional flight from New Delhi to Dehra Dun (DED) or arrange for a taxi or bus for the final part of your journey.
