The training is rooted in the ancient traditional teachings of yoga, presented in a clear and concise way in order to be easily accessible to the modern practitioner. Theory and practice are carefully weaved together to provide you with a genuine understanding of yoga on every level- as a student and a teacher. 

This comprehensive and holistic teacher training experience offers you a thorough understanding of the process and science of yoga while cultivating a solid teaching methodology rooted in practice and awareness.

The rate includes training tuition fee, course manual, use of yoga mats and props, unlimited, water, coffee, water and tea, and the Yoga Alliance certification fee upon completion.

Routes of Yoga offer this 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in the heart of Ubud, Bali. This destination has been carefully chosen for its supportive community and landscapes conducive to going deep within. The retreat is held at Taksu Movement and Arts Centre - Taksu is a unique Balinese concept meaning charisma, spiritual power or artistic inspiration needed to truly capture eyes, minds and hearts of the audience, both human and divine. This is a very special experience that will stay with you and inspire you for many years to come.


A minimum of one year yoga practice is recommended for students wishing to join the training.

Ample time is allocated to teaching labs for you to gain hands-on experience in leading classes and getting individual feedback and guidance from both peers and the teaching faculty. The Art of Teaching subjects focus on developing the key attributes of a teacher along with nurturing each participant's individual teaching style.

These topics cover the more subtle concepts and techniques of yoga, such as chakras, kriyas, pranayama and meditation. Yoga history and the analysis of key philosophical texts allow you to place these techniques within the bigger context of yoga and understand your individual purposes towards its ultimate goal.

Building a strong physical practice sets a solid foundation for the training program. The main elements and qualities of a physical practice are explored while anatomy lectures pave the way for asana workshops which focus in on the individual asana groups. 

The course introduces the history and the main philosophical concepts of yoga allowing you to gain a thorough understanding of the science of yoga, illuminating new directions for the journey within.

The goal is for you to gain confidence in you own practice first and how it can positively impact your living and perception of the world. This module also covers the role of a teacher, voice & body language, verbal and physical demonstrations, verbal and physical adjustments, teaching multi-level classes and time management.


Upon full attendance and completion of the course students will receive a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved teaching certificate. This allows you to teach globally as a recognised yoga teacher.

TIME OFF You will be given 3 days off withing the course to give your body time to rest in between programs. You can also use this time for personal reflection and meditation, and to enjoy the gorgeous beaches in Bali.

More than just nourishing raw, vegetarian, seafood and poultry dishes, Taksu’s two-level restaurant overlooks magnificent jungle foliage and trees full of colorful birds for a naturally soothing dining experience.

Just a minute’s walk from bustling Hanoman and Dewi Siti streets lined with fabulous boutiques, the Taksu Restaurant is a place to dine, recharge and relax. Chefs collect fresh ingredients from the on-site organic garden, harvested and picked for your meal right before your eyes.

Taksu offers a variety of beautifully prepared vegan, vegetarian and raw dishes. It is one of Ubud's newest raw and vegan restaurants, showcasing the edible art of Chef Arif. 'Fresh' offers spectacularly presented dishes from the tranquil upstairs terrace at Taksu. Students are entitled to 15% discount at Taksu Restaurant during the course.

There are plenty of cafes with various price ranges and delicious food within a short walking distance from the venue. Ubud offers a wide choice of restaurants and cafe's, from cheap places serving local cuisine to trendy fusion establishments. Ubud is also a mecca for raw, vegan and healthy organic food and there are many cafes that will suit all taste buds and dietary preferences.
