200Hr Marina Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

In Marina Yoga’s 200-hour yoga teacher training program, you will embark on a transformational journey towards becoming a yoga teacher. To facilitate a more scientific understanding of the body, you will study functional anatomy, physiology of inversions, breathing and the nervous system. Moving beyond the physical, you will learn yoga philosophy rooted in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Finally, you will begin to learn the fundamentals of meditation, pranayama, ayurveda, healing and the chakra system.

The teacher training package includes your tuition fee, course material and accommodation - which is optional. Become part of Marina Yoga’s teacher training program which aims to develop and mold teachers who encourage, inspire and who demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of individuals, as well as, the group. Build the foundation to teach skillfully – with compassion, integrity and safety – as you discover your own unique voice and style.

This yoga teacher training is held in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. Being close to nature can be a great deal of help in attaining self-discipline, focus and a level of inner peace. Krabi, a popular beach destination in Thailand, is known for its abundant, natural attractions and breathtaking scenery, allowing you to connect with your inner self and with nature.


All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome to join. You should be in good spirit and committed to learn and practice during the course.

You will learn asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours are a mix between: analytical and practical training in how to teach and guided practice of the techniques themselves where both areas must receive substantial emphasis.

Study and learn the principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning and business aspects of teaching yoga.

Immerse yourself in both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). This includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).

Be adept to different yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.

Put yourself to practice with sessions of practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.

Elective hours to be distributed among educational categories according to the school’s chosen emphasis.


When you have completed the program, you will receive a diploma and Letter of Completion, which can be used to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level and shared with prospective employers.

Venue   Marina Yoga and Reiki

Set in the countryside about 3km from Ao Nang, Marina Yoga is in a quiet countryside location with great views of the beautiful Krabi geography. Together, the island and venue promises an in-depth and extensive training and practice of yoga with a very soothing and relaxed atmosphere. The yoga centre is surrounded in a gorgeous setting with rooms that are bright, clean and cosy, which add tremendous value to your spiritual journey.

The retreat center is equipped with a common space, a wide Yoga shala, well-ventilated classrooms, an office, a full kitchen, and free access to WiFi. For your convenience and comfort, there are a total of 10 cozy and spacious bungalows, as well as, a shared dormitory at the retreat. Also, there is a local resort within easy walking distance with a good swimming pool for free use.

Just 40 minutes away from the Krabi International Airport, you can reach Marina Yoga. From Ao Nang, travel upwards toward Krabi Town and Marina Yoga is a right turn onto a small road. At the Y junction where the Marina Yoga sign is, take the road on the left and keep going. Another Marina Yoga sign with a chef statue welcomes you into the spiritual space you will call home for your time of stay.



Traditional Thai cuisine is well-known for dishes with fresh, aromatic ingredients. Thai dishes are usually paired with vegetables and fruit that help promote a balanced diet. Krabi is well known for its local markets, which deal mainly with fresh produce like meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits. Here, you will get to experience shopping at local markets to make your own authentic Thai cuisine! 

This training does not include meals, so you can shop amongst the locals and visit markets in Ao Nang that are open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. There is also a huge early morning indoor market held daily in Krabi Town. If cooking your own food isn't for you, there are many restaurants surrounding Ao Nang. If you are looking for something healthy - look out for signs that say “Clean food, Good taste”. This means that the dishes are prepared with boiled water and signifies that the food is always good, clean and healthy and does not contain MSG.

There is a wide range of restaurants available, from western cuisine to Indian and traditional Thai, and of varying standards. Local, family-owned businesses and luxurious restaurants are all close-by, and many will cater to your dietary requirements.

Krabi province is known for the many islands it holds. Many water sport adventurers flock to the province for it holds over 80 smaller islands with scenic attractions, majestic caves and marvelous waterfalls.

Ao Nang is known to be the most westernized beach in Krabi and offers numerous activities such as kayaking, scuba diving, rock climbing, kite boarding, hot spring waterfalls, ATV adventure and elephant trekking. Accessibility is one of the charms of Ao Nang for almost everything is located along the beach. You will discover that this beach offers various accommodations, good food spots, transport services making it easier for travelers to explore more of Krabi.

There are multiple ways you can get to Ao Nang. Krabi International airport is just 40 minutes away by car. Nok Air offers flights from Bangkok to Ao Nang. You can also opt to ride a boat from Rai Leh West and Ton Sai which are 10 minutes away to Ao Nang. Boat fares are 100 baht per person during the day and 150 baht during nighttime. If you want to experience something different, you can try the songthaew or a shared pick-up truck/taxi service to Ao Nang from Krabi bus station. It runs throughout the day and the fare is 50-100 baht. The ride takes about 10-20 minutes long. Songthaews are colour coded according to destination and going to Ao Nang from Krabi will require you to ride a white Songthaew.
